see that's the goddamn problem with this stupid movie industry here

they alll are going back and making all this stupid ass remakes

because they don't know what people want anymore
because nobody goes to the shitty new horror movies

but

they water them down so much that it's just the same shit
but they slapped an old horror movie title on it

the point is
they really need to get back to basics and why people like this shit
and leave goddamn movies alone
if it's to much for your snot nosed brats your cancer ridden grannie
then don't take em to the fuckin movie
in fact
please leave your goddamn kids at home
because they are getting on my fucking nerves

leave the damn movie alone
the way it is
and let grown ups decide for themselves

Rob Zombie's second project as a feature film director, "The Devil's Rejects", has had its release date moved up to July 22 from the previously announced August 12. The decision to change the release date was apparently made by Lion's Gate Entertainment after a "killer test screening" on February 10 that established the movie as "the highest-testing movie in the history of the company," according to Zombie. "After the [test screening] they picked a small group of about 20 to discuss the film. 18 of the 20 rated the film as excellent and the other two rated it as very good. Hey, what more can I ask for?" stated Zombie.

im gonna get flamed for this, but i hate most of the people who read this board anyway so fuck it.

they wanna trim it? fucking go ahead as long as unlike last time we get the scenes back on the DVD

ok heres the score:
if you recall almost SHITLOAD was cut from the the first one.
well this time around they are in control of the footage and its not in another companys fucking vault or trashcan.

so we know that even with an R rating this movie will kick ass BUT when i buy it id rather it be longer and more grotesque than before.
i say this because of this:
i loved the dawn of the dead remake, but when i saw they cut 20 mins off i said good. when i bought the movie, i liked it even more than before and it saved me all the ticket prices of seeing it multiple times in theaters.... plus playing spot the differences in a movie you dig is always fun.

back to devils rejects...if its R it will make more money, encouraging more chaos in the third movie (and by rob's admission, probably the last one).limited releasing the NC-17 will make it alot of fun to roadtrip to a showing filled with nothing but diehard horror fans
and it will still give the average movie going public nightmares and vomitting while making a killing, maybe allowing even more shit to slide into that DVD.
so in short, its a good thing in my mind, because THIS TIME WE GET THE FUCKING CUT FOOTAGE and i think it will make alot more interesting times at the special showings of the NC-17 if they occur and alot more fun drinking beer with your buddies with the DVD talking about how much better this version is as you try to find the differences.

after seeing pics of some of the cut stuff, i must say that the dvd version of this looks like it would be killer. i agree with junkie, i'll gladly give my $8 to the see the r-rated feature in the theatre and the extra $20 for an uncut dvd. i want a third film to happen.

This movie is wack...... you will enjoy peps. I saw yuppy after yuppy get up and leave saying it was to grafic for them. Any way I think its great in a kill them all sort of way.

first and foremost, if House was a tribute to old school slash and shit, this is a tribute to 70's roadhouse and explotiation flims. not so much horror, definitly offsetting in a different way.
movie overall is good
ending is fucking horrible though
i hate the total lack of continuity.
but the rest of the movie pretty much makes up for it.
except for the omission of the Dr.Satan stuff (i have pics of some of those scenes on my computer ill post if anyones interested), the omission of the cult of dr. satan linking the shit together characterwise (read http://www.thedevilsrejects.com bios on the main 3 to get that info)...... and you can tell its over-edited.
but the punch remains
its not a horror movie, but aside from me not liking the ending (i can even look over the omission of pivotal shit) i really, really, really fucking LOVED this movie
it was so close to perfect
sucks they fucked up those aspects
oddly enough, at http://www.imdb.com they cite Dr.Satan for being in the movie, proving the pics on the net and his orginial statements of the history of the background of dr.satan being revealed....... well you get the idea.
also i really fuckin am mad at RZ for stating in interviews (again, check the website, click the main skull and read the interview segments) that everything past the scene in House.. of the coffin drop is the main chick's pyscho breakdown and nothing after the coffin drop happend, its the "trip before dying"....
its one thing to fuck up this movie, dont fuck up the other one too.
but all things equal, im not dissing the film, im just disappointed it wasnt perfect and thats really what i expected after my love affair with House..
its a fucking great flick, and worth the cash
but its not really a horror flick. theres not a word for this one.
its just fucking insane. and its a hellride that (if you saw House..) youll really fucking love.
plus Baby showing her ass constantly is always welcome.

im hugely a fucking fan of the way that the deaths (theres really not enough) and the torture is done more in a quasi-realistic fashion.
i mean if your going to go on a roadtrip death spree... it helps to maybe not instantly murder everyone you see and really get use outta em? yea i can totally fucking see that.
plus pretty much every death in the movie, every torture, every scene with a spec of blood, is done SO FUCKING WELL. i mean theres scenes in that flick that will make you scene crawl. they move slow. the damage is visible. its more REALISTIC. but still far fetched.
EXCEPT THE CG BLOOD. THAT FUCKING SUCKED.
but rob is saying those few scenes had to be done that way to get them in the movie, let us pray the DVD shows us buckets more blood.
BEST THING ABOUT THIS FLICK OVERALL:
the fact there is not a villian. there is not a hero.
everyones fucked up. you dont know who to root for.
the sheriff starts so steve mcqueen (spelling?) and evolves so much... the devils rejects become humanized.... where does the line of right and wrong exist in this flick? it doesnt. its totally up to you
that was done brilliantly.
theres alot of bitches to be had with this movie, only because it was great but the small detractions greatly anger you because the rest was so good you really want to be perfect
and its not.
but its definitly worth the ride, as tomorrow im going to see it again.

recommended, just judge lightly.
