I'm not going to freakin "get over it" because I have two brothers and several friends fighting in Fallujah right now and I don't even know if they are still alive or not. I don't agree with what is going on over there at all.
Okay, now let's all just sit back, be quiet about Bush and watch the fireworks as the end of the world comes.
It's nice to know that I'm fighting cancer to live in a world that I don't even like.

Then arent you concerned about how many times Kerry voted to decrease funding for the soldiers overseas? That situation is there now and there is nothing that can be done to fix it quick. I have several loved ones there now as well. While I am not a Bush fan I do not support Kerry. I do passionately support my soldiers that are there now and on thier way. I do support as much funding as possible that will make their jobs safer and easier. These men and women risk their lives VOLUNTERIALLY to protect ours. If these terrorist are not hunted down and stopped they will come here after us on out territory.
I have gotten to the point that I cannot watch the world news because I am not brave enough to want to see what these soldiers are facing. I dont want to see what my loved ones are seeing. I want them back in my arms here safe. They will see and do things so that we fortunately will never have to. There is work still left there to do. We are far too responcible a country to rip open another and only half do a job.
Kerry is not out golden child that will take us out of this war Neither is Bush. I want in office someone who is looking out for the best interest of my soldiers. At this point I do not see that quality lying in Kerrys hands.

I really wish i could get into this back and forth friendly debate.But right now my back is killing me (i really think i pulled something back there thats important).Anyway my point is i think Rush said it best on his program today "All of the left thinks the right is wrong and all of the right thinks the left is wrong.But no matter what side you lay on it still doesnt mean we cant be friends".As far as the big battle goin down right now.Look at it this way we have the best army in the world.They are trained right and we have never been defeated (nam we won too its a long story ask me about it sometime).The facts are we are facing a some ass backward cowards who now have no place to hide.There guns suck and our old i mean really AK 47 are pieces of shit compaired to what we pack.

Obviously, I love our soldiers for what they are doing. I'm facing death in the face and it's not even half as scary as what our troops are facing over there. They truly are heroes, no matter what I think about the war.

I voted FOR Kerry. I don't think there was anything I disagreed with him on, except maybe killing terrorists....I'm not sure how I feel about capital punishment...
I also voted AGAINST Bush. I would have voted for a turd sandwich if that is who the democrats had put up to running.
I don't like ANYTHING Bush has done and I liked everything Kerry said he was going to do.
I am terribly liberal...thats why I voted for Kerry, who I think is one of the most compassionate men to run for office and I think he would have rivaled Clinton as the best president in my lifetime.

The war in Iraq is not, and never was about terrorists. I can't believe half the country has forgetten this. The pretense for the war, weapons of mass destruction, has been proven false. The only weapons of mass destruction in Iraq are Americans. WE are the ones killing innocents. And by voting for Bush, roughly half of this country is suporting that. Even if the voter recounts don't get Bush out of office, and let's face it - he bullied his way into office the last time when he lost the election, he won't let go of it this time either, it will at least show the rest of the world that not all Americans are bloodthirsty right-wing capitalist christian conservative idiot assholes.

Actually, I'd love to be enlightened. This is where I am so lost in this whole war on Iraq issue. What exactly is the connection between the country of Iraq and the Al Queda terrorists that attacked us on September 11th?

What was the nationality of the hijackers then - Must have been Iraqi. That must be the connection. Nope. 14 Saudis, 1 Egyption, 1 Lebonese and 3 United Arab Emerites.
So why do people keep trying to justify a war with a country based on an attack by a terrorist organization with no official ties to said country? Because they harbor or give aid to terrorists? So does every country in the Middle East. Regardless, that was not given as the reason for the war. The reasons were that Iraq posed an imminent threat to the security of the US and that it possessed weapons of mass destruction. But they didn't.
We attacked Iraq because we wanted a presence in the Middle East and Sadaam seemed like a good target. We expected to be viewed by the populace as liberators and to establish a democratic base in the Middle East. It did not go off as planned and there was no consideration given to that eventuality because we entered into a WAR, of all things, with piss poor and rushed planning. I am not a democrat or a republican. I don't think you can trust ANY politician as far as you can throw them. But I know a crapfest when I see it and this administration fairly reeks.
