Stonehenge Stuff.

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

This is obviously bogus. They say that Stonehenge was built around 2600 BCE and that the Great Pyramid was built around the same time!

how can that be, given that the world is only 6000 years old? That only leaves about 400 years from Adam and Eve to when the Great Pyramid was built!

Stupid "scientists" and their "carbon dating." They need to get with God! and read their Bibles and quit lying to us!
The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Yep, archaeologists are employed by satan to deceive gods children. I mean, everyone I work with sits around work all day wondering what we can convince them of next.

Muhahahahahaa.

Yeah I saw this the other day and thought it was way cool.

No... it's definitely interesting. I'm not trying to start a debate, either. I was just i "in a mood" when i posted it.

I think it will be really interesting to see how it pans out. Discovery of dwellings is always very revealing. I suspect that the structures were probably homes and not (as mentioned as a possibility in the article) dwelling for visitors. The distance of 2 miles is the only thing that leads me to think that, though.

What do you think, Morgan?

Yeah, I lean toward homes, but then again I don't know what a 2600 bc motel would look like either ;). I was thinking of the distance as far as "well why would you stay so far way" but then I remembered that Stonehenge isn't just amazing because of the stones, the whole aesthetic appeal of the area is I suppose why they chose THAT place, so perhaps if they built a place for visiting, or for those constructing it, far enough away to not cheapen the visual, if you know what I mean? I'd like to see if they know how long the village was occupied. Also the article really doesn't say the amounts of artifacts they found. I could see it as a place that was occupied for months or a few years while Stone Henge was constructed and maybe then it was left...*shrug* I know very little about european prehistory.
