INDUSTRIAL ICON AL JOURGENSEN OF MINISTRY

Debut release of the new Revolting Cocks coming on Valentines Day 2006
All new Ministry album to follow in April 2006
Industrial rock pioneer Al Jourgensen ventures into the record label business with the launch of 13th Planet Records, the new home of Ministry and Revolting Cocks. The imprint/boutique label is a joint venture with Megaforce Records for the U.S. and Canadian markets, distributed through Sony/RED. Missi Callazzo, Vice President of Megaforce, excitedly relates, "It's great to be working with Ministry again. We had platinum success during 'Psalm 69' days and Ministry remains an iconic and pioneering band. There is nobody better than Al Jourgensen releasing terror and greatness as he continues to challenge the status quo.".
With the recent release of Ministry's 25th anniversary collection Rantology marking the completion of his contractual agreement with Sanctuary Records, Mr. Jourgensen and Sanctuary amicably parted ways. The Sanctuary catalog of Ministry releases includes Sphinctour, Animositisomina, the critically acclaimed Houses of the Molé.
Jourgensen essentially returns to his roots with his latest endeavor. Al spearheaded the Chicago based Waxtrax! imprint throughout the late 80's and 90's bringing forth the release of such notable alter-ego ventures as Revolting Cocks, Pailhead, 1000 Homo DJ's, Acid Horse, PTP, and Lard. Jourgensen explains "Being clean for three years, I decided it was time for me to get back in the saddle and create an independent and autonomous outlet for Ministry and other side projects again. I am looking forward to developing 13th Planet Records into a successful, prolific, and creatively rewarding artist run label."
13th Planet Records unveils its new website http://www.thirteenthplanet.com on October 31, 2005. The site will host news, music, tour information, and merchandise for all things Ministry, Revolting Cocks and Jourgensen's side-projects.
13th Planet unleases its debut release Revolting Cocks: Cocked and Loaded February 14, 2006. Produced by Al Jourgensen, the CD features the contributions of guest artists Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys), Gibby Haynes (Butt Hole Surfers), Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Stevie Banch (Spyder Baby) and Phildo Owen (Skatenigs) and Robin Zander (Cheap Trick). The anticipated new Ministry album, Rio Grande Blood will follow with an April 2006 release. Also produced by Ministry founder Jourgensen, the new album features Tommy Victor (Prong) and Paul Raven (Killing Joke).
Ministry and Revolting Cocks hit the road for the MasterBa Tour 2006. With 60 dates scheduled throughout the U.S. and Canada, tickets are on sale now for May 6th through July 20th and European dates are currently being booked for August and September 2006.

i totally missed because i shit reading tommy victor and raven are onboard now.
tommy victor and raven are trying to collect-a-set working with all of my fav bands (victors played with glenn (and doyle), raven in godflesh, both in prong, raven in godflesh and some jesu. ect)
the lineup kinda makes me wonder (and when i say wonder i mean hope) if some of the old buck satan and the 666 shooters songs will make it. they could definitly rock em out.

Buck Satan is listed under Al's new Label "Thirteenth Planet" and being managed by I'm guessing his wife. Check out the website http://www.thirteenthplanet.com . I'm hoping for some new Buck Satan & the 666 shooters too.

How long have we been waiting for this project to happen? Christ, I remember talking about this back in college. Are you guys saying that there was some Buck Satan material actually recorded?

As I understand there was at least an (Buck Satan) EP recorded (if not a whole album). I don't know however know if it ever got officially released or why if it wasn't. I would guess it might be something to do with or because of the demise of Wax Trax Records (which AL put almost all of his non ministry projects out on originally), as it should have been around that time period.
I had heard rumours of bootlegs(?) of the album floating around, but never actually been able to get my hands on one to confirm it (as much as I BADLY would like one for my record collection).
In after thought lack of release was likely more due to issues to rights from having guest musicians not on Wax Trax label.
The Traveling Wilburys had this problem, and got around it by not crediting any of the musicians by their real name.
This is all guess work not fact. But I say this due to this; Al got in trouble with using Trent Reznor for vocals on 1000 Homo DJs cover of Supernaught. TVT records told him to pull it cause they "owned" Trent. Al remixed and added some effects to Trents voice pulled Trent from the credits and said it was his own voice....lol
