so is this , this generations version of "Deliverance"?
I give her sadness and the gift of pain,
a new moon madness and a love of rain.

i think it's supposed to be a modern last house on the left

the story line looks the same
if you watch all the little clips

and the phrase
it's only a movie

was the advertising scheme they used when they released last house on the left

Do you think Ebert realizes how much free press he gave the movie?

No don't watch the film. No no no...don't watch the evil mind melting soul swallowing movie.

The Preview was bland and the actual website is just a bit over the top...check out those facts why don't ya...so Ebert's fury might be the movie's best promotional device.

It's basically a "remake" of Last House. The working title was "The House in the Middle of Nowhere".

Supposedly the most realistically brutal film ever, and leaves it's audience in complete despair. Hmm.

I donnow, but seeing that major film critics are discouraging people from seeing it, saying it made them feel sick and disgusted = I have to see it.

From HORRORCHANNEL.COM
"Reportedly, Chaos started life as a Last House on the Left redux under the title The House in the Middle of Nowhere with the creative involvement of original cast members David Hess and Marc Sheffler. Enter Harvard grad/producer Steven Jay Bernheim, who decided to fire them and sever all ties with the original film (aside from the derivative screenplay, tagline, and entire marketing campaign). Passing itself off as being "based on an original idea," the end result is not only a totally amateurish attempt at grindhouse cinema but possibly the single worst case of celluloid plagiarism in history."

One thing The Hills Have Eyes remake has going for it is the director- the man who brought us Haute Tension. Keep it tight, keep it horrific, and by all means keep it R and it might have a chance.
