I beleave what X was saying is that yea sure anybody can fall into lighttubes or have a weedwacker used on them and competely ruin the wrestling business.Or learn to work and wrestle and wrestle raven at the mcminn county fair for the nwa title which my homeboy is doing in 17 days. i think wwe sux.yes anybody can jump off a building into light tubes but no everybody would do that its fucked up.
wwe matches of late have become former shadows of what they used to be cuz i used to be a big fan and i have watched them just throw those straps around any steriod monkeys waist that fits what they want the face of wrestling to look like.You used to have to be talented to make it to the wwe now you just got to look right very simular to mtv.
im not saying there is no talent on wwe programs but the quality has gone down.I wish they had a bigger rival(maybe tna being on spike will help) to force them to try harder.

um...i think that news flash was from like...1991...when Vince said "Our only competition is disney land" The talent comes in making people who KNOW or think even for a second that it is infact fake, want to actually kill you. Or make them want you to get up and beat someones ass.
You gotta have talent to make it in hollywood too, but nobody ever says movies are fake....."Oh yeah, that movie could NEVER happen, that is soooo fake" you never fucking hear that....AND we do it in ONE take.

Also, i'd like to comment that, i never EVER said i enjoy the wwe. Infact for the first time in 20 years of watching wrestling i really couldn't give a fuck about the product they put out. I have watched wwf (yes i still say F) since febuary of 1985, and it has never been in the parrell of shittiness that its in now. You do indeed seem to have to have man made breasts and/or genetically enhanced yourself to make it to tv. (And i'm soooo hoping that things WILL pick up since they have my boy dave and they have punker up there now) John Cena IS a good worker....BUT, he doesn't get to show it now that he's on top, and thats called being paid back for payin ya dues.

Now you want my opinion on wrestling, here it is....FUCK CZW, it was going downhill when we were there, thats why we didn't go back. IMHO it died when the backseats left. If Johnny and Trent who were John's BOYZ (excuse the pun) call him out...then he's a fuckwad. Personally i'm not at all intrested in just SPOT matches and HARDCORE IS DEAD.

You want good American wrestling, its not wwe, its not TNA (allthough they do have good stuff there and there) you want good american wrestling look at ROH (http://www.rohwrestling.com) i can even hook you up as i have all of their shows on dvd. IWA MS is a MUCH better mixture of hardcore/spots/work than CZW, but it, like 3PW, is dying IF NOT dead...honestly, indy stuff in general always has SOMETHING good on it.

Side bar, i know how good i am...if i wasn't good, i wouldn't be wrestling Raven for the NWA heavyweight title in 16 days. I wouldn't be a motherfucking IRON MAN for wrestling 7 matches in 2 days clocking in at 2 hours in ring action. If i wasn't good i wouldn't have worked guys like, Tully Blanchard, Ricky Steamboat, Blue Meanie, Ricky Morton, Robert Gibson, The Midnight Express, The Maestro, Tracey Smothers, nearly the WHOLE armstrong family (Bob, Brad, Scott, Steve) and The Barbarian in the last 9 months.

it does take talent to be a wrestler. sure it's fake, but try to get into 1/10th of the cardio condition these guys are in to perform an hour long match with each other. most people would be sucking air within the first 5 minutes. just because it's an entertainment industry doesn't mean they aren't well trained atheletes. well... cept' maybe the wwe who seems to like to pick up GQ bodybuilders and pass them off as such. ROH is the best thing going. I like how they represent the best of the whole business. japanese (stiff), lucha libre (high flying) and the more technical side of the U.S. workers. It's very hybrid and I dig it. I have to support TNA as well, just because they are trying to do something different with their programming as opposed to the crap that wwe spins on monday nights. wwe/f just sucks. they have for a long time in my eyes.

But, I would like to add that while there are some redneck moronic wrestling fans out there....we're all not like that.

I hate that wrestling gets such a bad name. Usually, when the masses think of wrestling fans, they think of these people.

To me, I consider wrestling an art form. There are wrestlers out there with some graceful moves. I mean, I look at it the way some people look at acrobatics, or diving. Or even dancing.

And, the WWE has been lacking. I usually watch RAW and smackdown in fast forward, barely stopping for anything good.

I can't wait until TNA comes to Spike TV

The WWE has always been at it's best, IMO, when it has competition.

Yeah, some of the people I see at these indie shows that I go to... lordy... I have more teeth in my head than most all of them and their extended families. I get amused at times. Why can't all fans be like us? *elitist bitch*
