Patriot Act extension passed by House

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Patriot Act extension passed by House

Post by elasticwings »

WTF? 10 more years. Of course, they are using the recent bombings in the UK to justify it. I wish the Supreme Court would grow some balls and start declaring this shit unconstitutional.

Knoxville's allready got/working on one.

Cameras on the interstate, cameras on the lights all around the city police station, and lord knows how many other places.

the above flyers come from Students for an Orwellian Society
aka http://www.studentsfororwell.org/
Some great reads on there.

LOL! ( SOS sight), but I know of too many people who now seriously think like that. I saw some of them being interviewed on the news this morning.

Fear does make people crazy and it is a great control method. I realize that this is a late post but i just came across this subject. A good book to read is ,"Alice in Wonderland and the World Trade Center Disaster"...there is much more going on than what people realize. Let's just say it is an eye-opener. I just finished the book recently and a lot of questions were answered for me. I also don't plan to drink Diet Coke anymore either. LOL...or go to Disney...yeah, "it's a small world after all!"

PS. Did you know that sodium floride is a mind suppressent? Yeah, the nazi's used it in their little concentration camps in the water supply...I am sure their concern was the well being of their prisoners teeth...like I said...read the book...read it.

Sorry if this has some spelling errors...I am so beat!

Looks like it the extension may not be passed in time and the act will drop. I really hope it does.

"The US Senate on Friday blocked a final vote on renewal of the Patriot Act as senators reacted harshly to reports that President George W. Bush had authorised secret domestic surveillance of US citizens by US foreign intelligence agencies."

You realize that just because someone writes something in a book doesn't make it true or real right?

"If the Patriot Act provisions expire, Republicans say they will place the blame on Democrats in next year's midterm elections."

Hell, that would be a plus on the Democratic side to me. I'll vote for whoever wants to take the blame for that. I mean, am I supposed to be upset with the side that lets me have rights back that were given to me by the founders of the country?

Well hate to make everybody's day turn sour, but the Senate did pass it today.

I will definitely be drinking a beer in honor of what the pioneers of this country tried to give us. I suppose people just don't understand that the Bill of Rights is what makes this country the place where people want to be.

Does anone ever get the feeling that this is the same sinking feeling German citizens must have occasionally had living under Hitler...you know... before they just put it out of their mind as too uncomfortable to dwell on?

What in the hell is wrong with these people? It's crap like this that this country was started to get away from.
