Better question is why would a parent leave their used hyperdermic needles out for their 8 year old daughter to find and use? My dad being a diabetic (and more than likely will make me one quite soon) disposes of his needles by clipping the needles in half then storing both in a hardened plastic container marked "BIOHAZARD" in bright-bold red letters. If my 8 year old daughter were digging in that... then I dunno...

I read about this a couple of days ago. Can you say 'inadequate parental supervision'? My question is not what is wrong with this child, but what is wrong with her parent(s) that they would leave used or even unused lancets or hypodermic needles lying around where this girl could get her hands on them?
Idiots! Because of their ineptitude, 19 other children and their parents now have to worry about developing HIV or Aids.

i am guessing that the one kid who tested positive for it, already had it.

The one kid did already have HIV. The teachers just don't know which kids were stuck before or after the infected one.

If my kid shoves his or her hand in a big box of poky things then my seed truly does deserve to be wiped from the earth.

Sorry, but that is retarded. That's like saying if your two year old accidentally ate rat poison, the kid deserves to die. No matter how much dangers are explained to a child, they don't always comprehend the consequenses. So my kid wants to dig in a BIOHAZARD container. I say NO, BAD!!! Being a kid, they are gonna want to do it anyway. So I just let them cause they haven't developed the capasity to understand the consequenses yet? Please, don't breed!!!!!

Ehhh.... I think he was speaking purely on a unrealistic, sadistic tone. I don't think he would want his kid to die. But let's face it, if a **8** year old kid cannot read the words "DANGER", "BIOHAZARD", or "CAUTION", then there are other issues to deal with... but I don't think he meant for them to die.
Anyone with kids and is a "responsible" "parent" wouldn't wish that on their kids.
