Blockbuster has eliminated late fees. They say that if a movie is a day or so late that you will not be charged a late fee. The catch is if the movie is 7 days late your credit card will automatically be charged for the purchace price of the movie. The price of the movie depends on the selling price at the time of rental. Which can be anywhere between $25 - $50 for new movies. A friend of ours told us that at a store meeting they were given a coporate memo that said in reference to this new policey "The customer doesn't need to know everything".
