I'll go see it, but I'm not happy about it. Hopefully I will be in for a pleasant surprise, but I doubt it. Cage was in talks to play our John first and I hated that choice, but Reeves is even worse. How fucking hard would it have been to do this properly?

Preacher and Watchmen are likely to get similar Hollywoodization...

It's okay. I never read the comic books though. I didn't really expect much of this movie, and I didn't really get anything more than what I expected. It's probably good for a once over in the theater, but I doubt I will care to watch it again.

I have never read the comics, but this movie totally sucked ass. I almost fell asleep 10 times.

It was okay! If you like tv shows like Buffy, Angel, and Charmed, I think you would appreciate it.

If you're hopelessly jaded or a terminal comic book fanboy who tends to automatically hate everything, forget it. Go and watch your Christian Bale movies for the billionth time and jack off in anticipation of Batman Begins.
