The Cursed Love of the Angel and Demon

The Cursed Love of the Angel and Demon

On a cool springs eve, beneath the willow tree
Lay a lovely young angel and her curious lover.
Her lover a demon, known for evil deeds
For those who knew him died in a gutter
Cursed was their love to be.

Though the angel a young divine
Her mind was shut to his discretion
The angel knew not that she was so blind
For this was that demons profession
Their love was cursed, that is to be.

Together they walked hand in hand
As darkness settled in the sky
Beneath the moonlit sand
The angel began to cry..
For cursed was her love to be

The demon now suspected the truth was to be known
As the angel looked into his deep green eyes
And the pain within her shown
As he pondered oblivious to her cries
Their love was cursed, as it had been prophesied

Damned they were from the beginning
For love between them should not have been
Their happiness was slowly thinning
For the angel made her greatest sin
A cursed love it was, and shall forever be.

The demon's curse was not to last
Her eyes would soon be open
The demon's control had long since passed
As he lay there choking
Cursed was their love, and an ending it would have.

The demons curse was not his own
But given to him by an evil beast
For he was what love disowned
Yet his heart had never ceased
For love was his curse, a dire trait indeed

He looked into her soft blue eyes
Told her all the chilling tale
As this was said to end her cries
And to break the spell he would not fail
Cursed he wished not to be

He stroked her long blonde hair
For this would be his last moment
Deep into her eyes he'd stare
Begging for his atonement
A cursed love was about to end..

Beneath her bosom a dagger drawn
And slid between the demons ribs
The cursed love was now gone
Tis time for this tale to end
And time for purity to reign again

Through the demons final choking words
Were three soft sweet tones
That put to shame the birds
With this his curse had ended
As did the love impure

A soul he had now been granted
To once again be reborn
The angel had now descended
To see her demon lover forlorn
For their cursed love had ended, this was to be sure

There is a moral to this broken riddle
Love is a curse, and it so shall remain.
Till it is purified by Death's slashing sickle
Who cuts away at the liars chain
Cursed no more that love will be

And so we end with these lovers free
The angel and the demons together at last
And together they shall forever be
Till Death's mighty hand ends them fast
For true love is eternal, cursed are liars who love will pass

~writers note~ I'm sorry if this is not as good as my other works, but this was my attempt to write a ballad... Tell me what you think.
Aww crap, I'm legal >.<
