Club events and info needed:)
Hey, have not been on in awhile...
I posted a few months ago about a club night I went to here in Jax. A few of you named some other places in the area you knew of and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good night to go to.
I am finally getting the time off this Sat. to attend "Factory" over on St. John's Ave. in Jax...that I found online on the International Goth Club Listing...it is a great night but I wish to find others to attend.
My friend Stacy is flying in from NY this week and I promised her a fun week out...just her and I.
Any suggestions?
If you know of anything...let me know:
Thanks everyone:)

Thanks for the email guys...post if you have any other suggestions!

If you need someone to bang around with let me know...
And Zeo...I went to the night in Orlando about a year ago...when I was young and native...::sigh:: and I liked it then:)
The beach, well, that's a given, I'm heading down past Daytona next weekend to a beautiful beach that is like paradise...I can't believe how tanned I am this year:)
Looks like it is 80's night tonight at Eclipse on St. John's Ave in Jax and then "dark alternative" tomorrow night at Eclipse again...it is also called "Factory"...lol...dark alternative...lol...are people so insecure about saying goth that now they resort to saying "dark alternative"...reading it in the paper gave me a good laugh:)
My friend Stacy is having a great time too...she lives in upstate New York...not the city...where I believe they can't even spell G-O-T-H....lol...
Pretty good night...the 80's night on Friday was great but I had to leave early...my wimpy friend Stacy was bitching about the smoke and fog machines...seeing as how in NY you cannot smoke anymore in the clubs...
But we had fun...The goth night was fun too...not many people but the DJ kicks ass...
He usually spins alot of old school and some GOOD industrial...
Some of the new industrial is like disco goth if you ask me...
There is a cd release tonight for Skinny Puppy at Jax Beach...thought about going but I am so beat...my bones need a rest...

Well, I didn't get the chance to check out Club Necropolis in O town, but I drove all the way across the state from Cocoa Beach where I was staying to Ybor City on Saturday night for Communion after Dark @ the Castle, and it was totally 100% worth the drive. The place is just fucking awesome. From the outside it looks like an old Cathedral. The decor is mostly New Orleans voodoo style. The original chandeliers hanging from the ceiling from when the place was dance hall in the 30s/40s. It has 2 levels with 3 bars and 2 DJs. The downstairs bar is made of stone with cracks in it, pools of water in the cracks. From there, an outside patio area where people were dancing, the DJ there was spinning old school goth and industrial.
The upstairs has a chill out lounge with candles everywhere, more voodoo style furniture, and a bar, then the main dance floor with a bar that wraps around one corner of the room.
There were 3 huge screens which had "Battle Royal" playing when I walked in.... The DJ upstairs was playing all newer EBM and Darkwave...
They were having a "System Syn" CD release party and giving away discs. I introduced myself to the DJ upstairs and noticed the guy working the video had the same videonix digital mixer I have and was playing around with the fades and such, so I showed him a couple of tricks on it and played around with the video mix. Everyone was really nice...
One of the most awesome clubs I have ever seen, and the Tampa scene is pretty damn big. I would definitely recommend checking it out on a Saturday night to anyone down that way.
I took a couple of pics in the lounge, but none in the main dance room because they typically don't allow cameras in the club, so I spoke to the manager and she approved me to take some only of myself and Daniel, my friend who went with.
I'll post them later on my xanga or here
