has shown me a thousand wonders

staring in awe
and caught up in it all

little red riding hood
lost and alone

passing by on Decatur

innocent drunken bliss
haunting eyes find her
hold her
still

frozen glance
those eyes stare back
years within seconds
traffic is moving too fast

the black vehicle moves on

concrete world
with surreal standards
