It's a benefit concert that a friend of mine organized. As the posters say, it's "forty opera singers joining voices to alleviate world hunger." The program is scenes from several well-known operas, including Carmen, La Traviata, Marriage of Figaro, The Mikado, etc. And yours truly will be singing the role of Carmen in the Act II quintet from that opera

I'm serious, it's going to be fabulous - the talent involved with this program is awesome, and many of the scenes are really funny. Plus, ADMISSION IS FREE. That's right! Donations to the "Save a Family Plan" (the organization that the concert is benefitting: http://www.safp.org) will be accepted, but there's no ticket charge.
So the program will be at the Music Hall on Volunteer Blvd on UT campus. 7:00 PM next Tuesday. Come put some high culture in your life with a concert that will kick serious ass. Or just come to see me...I won't complain at all.
