Hey all! Sorry I've been out touch...been crazy these last few months. But yours truly is now officially Pvt. Brandon Davis of the US army. I'm hoping to catch a Sanctus or something when I finally get out of basic and AIT (14 weeks). Hope to see all of you soon.

Keep your chin up man! I'm sure basic is not the same now as when I went thorugh it, but it will be a surreal experience. Its the same logic as hazing, sort of: If everyone is yelling at a group of people those people will unite and find support in one another. It is a trip to have some guy screaming into your face about how your uniform looks I thought it was a fucking blast in some ways, especially as we got closer to graduation.

Hang tough, kick ass, and keep everything in perspective and all will be cool. Hopefully something you'll learn something you can apply after the military.

dude good luck wih the army i hope you do well, my cousin is in the Army Reserve, i want to join, still to young, acually i wanna be a sniper.....i think that would be cool........

If your interested in joining the military...there is the delayed entry program. Go to MEPS (military processing), get your contract, GI bill, etc. But check out the website...the more you know about what you want to do while your in, and what you want to do when you get out...can only help you in the long run.

T - 2 weeks and counting. If I said that I wasn't nervous as hell...I'd be a dirty lier. But it's a bit late to have doubts and whatnot. I'm also trying to finish the little checklist they gave me. If I can only finish that med. course...
