Ewwww. Jason found the article about that somewhere a couple of months ago. I haven't had much for fast food since then.

you can go too liberal
you eat anything for 30 days str8 thats not got a degree of varied content as far as nutrititon goes your going to get sick
mcdonalds every day for 30 days would fuck you up, but so would most foods we put into our system.
its not justifying it. its not saying its ok.
its just the truth.
anyone ever read the reports of what that fucking Whey diet does to your body? and fucking people still do that. its hillarious if you think about it. im trying to add moderate amounts of whey protein into my diet and its already fucking with me. i cant imagine how these people survived on whey based foods for 30 days solid. i imagine when they shit afterwards it slid right out in the form they ate it.
the mcdonalds thing is self evident. anyone dumb enough to only eat mcdonalds three times a day for 30 days needs to die
i think mcD set it up in the end though.
now they are cancelling the supersize but offering a deal starting when the supersizes are finally phased out (set for this summer) that consists of 2 large size items for half price....... i wonder if they will actually do it though.........

i think we should go kill the guy who started the atkins diet too... oh wait. too late. THE ATKINS DIET MADE HIM OBESE AND HE DIED FROM IT...... hows that Atkins A doing now..........

Ewwwwww. I think they should make a film, from the body's POV, and how it feels when pounds of greese are going into it. LOL

If this guy is almost as good as Michael Moore, then he's not very good. Michael Moore is an idiot! He's like a left-wing version of Rush Limbaugh. He screams out a bunch of nonsense real loud and gets a bunch of people to listen. Yet, most of his conclusions defy all logic and can not stand up to any sorta rebuttal.

And Junkie is right. Of course it's unhealthy to eat the same meal 3X a day for 30 days. If you eat only soup 3X a day for 30 days, you'll probably be really weak, loose a ton of muscle mass, and feel like you're about to die; but that doesn't mean soup is bad for you. It just means you should eat something else every-now-and-then.

Yeah, I hated the Atkins thing, too! Do people really fall for that? I knew better than that from one college level health class (and that class bordered on being a joke). Carbs are good for you if you use them right. All you do by refusing to take in carbs is make your body weak and lazy. Which in turn means you exercise less, which, naturally, makes you lose muscle mass - and hence, gain fat. Most of the medical community has warned people to stay away from the Atkins Diet - but Americans are suckers for "diet gurus".

yeah, what he discovered was that a high-fatty diet can cause the same damage to your liver that cirrhosis can for alcoholics.

He started the whole thing in response to a lawsuit filed against McD's by two teenage girls who wanted to blame their health problems on McD under the same precedents that were used to sue tobacco companies and gun companies for the harm their products supposedly do. McD is more vulnerable to the laws because they do all this advertising about the health benefits of their food, but said things in affidavits of the teenage girls' case like "everyone knows fried food is bad for your health".

Isn't it weird that, even though "everyone knows" this, it's still a big deal for a company like McD to actually SAY it? I know people are dumb, but....

well I guess there is no 'but', is there?

Just a thought here - Maybe people don't know HOW to diet properly. My best friends are on Atkins, have been for nearly a year. They look great, are in perfect health, and have CHANGED THEIR LIVES. This is why that diet, or any diet, does not work for the majority of people. It is a lifestyle change. You eat a balanced diet, you watch your carb intake and eat less of them. Atkins does not mean you can eat all the bacon and eggs you want for breakfast and eat 2 quarter pounders without the bun for lunch. You eat sensibly and you MUST exercise. I don't have the willpower for it, and I do NOT want to change my life the way they have changed theirs. It is way too regimented, but I cannot deny that Atkins has made a positive impact on their lives. Like anything, do it right, or don't do it at all.

Nothing about losing weight is painless - It is not going to happen with a diet or a pill. Calories in must be less than calories out or burned. Sounds easy, but if it was, we wouldn't all be overweight. I have no willpower, love food, and hate exercise. Until I can conquer those demons, no diet is going to help.
