daredevil (please, no spoilers)

is it really worth watching? or is it a waste of tape?

i have some hefty reserves about anything that has this much hype floating about it.

Everyone I've talked to said that it was a total waste of money unless you get in for free. And even then.. you paid too much.
May your dreams be the future you could have had, and your nightmares be the realization that you destroyed your chance to make it reality.

now i'm glad i asked. thanks. :D

i'll rent it regardless, but then if it's really bad, i can make fun of it without being thrown out of the building.

i hate it when they do that.

If a film's not worth commenting on while your watching it, its not worth watching

that movie looks like the biggest pile of steamy crap ever! well, alomst ever. . . anyway. ben affleck is just NOT superhero material, you know? i think i would be more for it had it beensomeone else. but that just ruins the whole thing. plus, i dont know, it looks like tehy tried to make it super-cool, but its just gonna be cheesy

I really liked it alot. I mean, I have a couple of problems with it, but thats just because I am a cheesy comic fan :)

I think that Ben Affleck made a great Matt Murdock. At one time I heard he was going to be Jessie in a Preacher movie...but I think the gossip has died down on that one.

The only problems I really have with it are the "not going by the comic" parts. But, ya know, I need to just get over it, because sometimes you do have to change shit when you make it into a movie.

Like, Matt wasn't rescuing an old man about to get hit by that truck when he was blinded....and elektra does NOT look greek....Kingpin is not black....well, I understand that one...I actually think that guy (his name escapes me right now) did a great job as kingpin. Hell, that is probably the biggest guy they could find to play the part.

And, the scene in the park was pretty cheesy, but the kids in the theaters loved it, and I am sure that is what that scene was for.

I loved the fact that they let you see things the way Matt would "see" them. That was awesome.

Does anyone here read Daredevil?

All in all, I loved the movie, hell I saw it twice! BUT, it was definitly no Spiderman. Man, that has to be one of the best comic movies I have ever seen. Oh, and I can't wait to see Xmen 2, especially after seeing that preview! And, I am even looking forward to the Hulk movie!

At first, I was some what skeptical of Michael Clarke Duncan playing Kingpin as well, due to the entire race change, but he pulls it off, smarmy, powerful, intelligent, and vicious as needs be. I was impressed.

BUT, it was definitly no Spiderman.

Thank God. What a festering piece of ass that was. Utterly horrible.
