Ok, I've been thinking about this for the last few days and I just now got to the library, well that's not true I was here a few days ago but it said the site was fucked. Anywho. The matter at hand is this God is the basis of our government bullshit. Let me say now that I am NOT out to offend anyone,but if it happens so be it.

Problem 1: This obviously is in violation of the church and state law and is another way to undermine the constitution.

Problem 2: Ever read Harrison Burgeron, it's a fine example of totalitarionism, which is EXACTLY what this gives the government power to enforce. Once this is fully passed,which judging by the naivety of Americans in undoubtedly will be, This let's the government slowly slay away all of our rights. Guns will be the first, of course. Then they will slowly ween away our freedom of speech and press(not that we have the latter, the trilateral commission holds that by the nuts), later we will get injections so we are all of equal intelligence and the like. That could be an exaggeration but the point is made. So welcome to the New World Order.

Problem 3: This country was founded for the expressed purpose of religious freedom. By saying that the basis of our nation is the Christian God betrays the American Muslims,Buddhists,Taoists,Pagans,Wiccan(which don't really matter), and of course our good friends the Atheists. So WHEN this is passed I hope that if all of you that do not subscribe to Christianity feel as if your country which some of you may or may not fight for has just passed on a big FUCK YOU directed between your fucking eyes.

Problem 4: The way in which they are going about this thus far is not by Democratic vote. They listen to the community and a board votes on it. Of course I imagine it will continue this way until it reaches supreme court.

Problem 5: This officially means hell has frozen over and Pat Roberts will be our next President of the United States of America.

another example of needing to research outside of a history book, god himself is not the basis of the corrupt government
the people who use god as a mask and shield to hide behind are the cause of the influence, they just use god as a platform.
now who are the people?
opinions vary... alot of people say the masons but i know better
IMO: the new third reich, the right wing WASP republicians.... who are gladly killing muslims across the world, and following nazi tactics in their domestic and foriegn policy.
the new furher is GWB. and if Hatch gets his bill for non-domestic citizen presidential canidates approved, id say theres a safe bet in about 20 years the governator will cause the decline of our civilization. people think its bad now, just you wait...
pray that dean gets elected and throws dubbya out on his ass.
alot of people dont want to think about this topic and your moving in the right direction, just focus your search outside of your religious opinions and you will see the people with really strong faith are never the people in positions of power claiming they have a cellphone line to god.
really enjoyed reading your ideas, agree with a bit of it too, ive just never seen god come down from heaven and cause a war or raise my taxes. but ive seen people do it claiming its in his name..... which is funny because the bylines of the real religion (note not what alot of this country follows) would FROWN on 99.999% of the things people like GWB do. i always liked clintons avoiding religion bias. one of the reasons i think he gets such a bad wrap is he did a superjob undoing alot of the tyrannical republican agendas so they blow up his blow job. he got head, so what. some of his policies hurt the military. point. but outside of that hes been the most effective president in AT LEAST 20 years.

on a final note: the people who established this country were blind in a way, they wanted religious freedom... for christians. they later added in all religions when the country started getting law. the people who had the biggest hands in the bill of rights were not all christian. hell most were deist (not a far cry but still). the ideas of accepting all religions freely in that day and age would have been deemed as a christian idea because NO WHERE THEY KNEW OF IN THE WORLD ALLOWED THAT. it was really an agree to disagree type of situation where the idea was lets let others facing this problem come here. but the great thinkers didnt last long here and the people that saw to use god as a platform for person and political gain took over. this is what sep. of church and state was suppoed to prevent but its never really been followed. the builders built a hell of a machine, but outside of that the maintainence crew has fucked SUCKED.

NO you are wrong, this country was founded for the expressed purpose of religious freedom, and yes by christians, but only so you could celebrate you own faith "no matter what that is" in this country without persecution. Faith was thought to be a backbone of a man. I foundation if you will. The founding fathers paved YOUR way for freedom in all aspects........not just for christians. I am having trouble fathoming that a document so important was only written for christians, and our court system only blesses christians. ITS A METAPHORE, as christians beleive God protects us, They wrote these things with faith that God loves and protects us all, in clusing those who dont beleive in him, in times of trouble, patriotism, persecution, celebration, and thanksgiving. No one is forcing a beleif in your direction either....just as the constitution is a guide, and the basis of our american freedoms.

Agreed, religion haz looong been a meanz of controlling the population by striking fear n2 the heartz of all man/womankind who would allow it.

While Knox County did manage 2 slip past this "God" resolution (by just a single vote), the rest of the TN counties hav the same resolution up 4 votez (already passed n Greene Co.).

If this truly iz a sign of the timez and what'z 2 cum, then "the land of the free & the home of the brave" will not only b n violation of religious freedomz but also a land of serious internal conflict... Az the brave r not likely 2 back down from such a threat.

How many more must kill & die n the name of "God" b4 we evolve... or simply yank the puppet masterz down by thier stringz & confront their manipulation & powermongering 4 what it actually iz...
