Greetings from the frozen north. Don’t let anyone from Atlanta or Nashville tell you that Knoxville is a small city. Instead, have them visit Binghamton, NY. This place is the hind end of space. Everything is better in the South except Buffalo Wings and Spedies. (Those ‘hot wings’ they sell in TN are NOT Buffalo Wings, which go CRUNCH when you bite into them and clear out - melt - your nose hair with one whiff. After eating them, your lips bleed. Kudos to anyone who can tell me what a Spedie is without looking it up on the internet.) The Gothic MeetMe board for Binghamton has SEVEN members, including me now. Pathetic. The other night I asked someone where I could go to dance – a club or ANYTHING to do in this sad little city. The answer? Go to New York City or Syracuse. Now I remember why I moved out of this place – there is nothing here. As of July, it’s even illegal to smoke in a bar! Oh, well… enough complaining. We had snow here last week, about three inches. It was pretty while it lasted. The wind storms have been intense. I’ve proven that my mother’s Intrepid can indeed do more than 40 mph. I’ll be back in Knoxhell (which doesn’t seem so bad anymore) on the 28th. I’m not sure there is anything planned for that weekend, so I’ll see those of you who go to karaoke at The Giant Panda on the following Wednesday. I so very much missed Sanctus. I hope all of you had a fun, safe time. I can’t wait for December Sanctus – it seems like a lifetime away. Enough for now – y’all have a happy Thanksgiving.
