So, I'm trying to make a soap/candle mold out of a pretty round rock and a coffin shaped thingy I have. I'm using this latex stuff called Mold Builder.
So, I placed the objects on wax paper and coated them with talc powder to prevent them from sticking to themselves when I pull them off the objects. I put on a thick coat and made a 2 inch flange that will support the mold or whatever. I got up this morning and most of the latex had slid off the rock, and some off the coffin thing.
So, I guess I'll have to just keep adding coats til it seems thick enough...or course I guess it will NEVER dry.
Just wondering if any of you have tried to make your own molds and if you have any tips.
