One of my all time new fav books!!

Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey, her first novel, all three of them are now out. Its set in Terre d'Ange, wich is a place driven by beauty and grace. Phedre no Delauney is a woman born with a scarlet mote in her eye. Sold into indentured servitude because of the flaw. She is found by a noble man named Anafiel Delauny who relizes the flaw is and makes her one of Kushiel's Dart. Phedre is trained in the courtly arts and in the talents of the bedchamber, she deals with bondage, domantion, and her love of pain, and being an anguissette. The book deals with the fact she is trained almoust as a spy, and uncovers a plot that bleeds with treachery, loss, and pain.

The book is rather long, but I enjoyed it so much I read it almoust in one night, I just could not put it down. I am sure my little review does not give it justice it really is a amazing book.

When love cast me out, it was cruelty who took pity on me.


I loaned my copy to CD when he gets done, I can loan it out again, I cant say enought about this book
