The alternate title to this posting was going to be "Strapping Lads Wanted," but I just don't swing that way. Sorry, lads!
Thanks to everyone for their kind thoughts and messages re: aridaine (see thread "A Call For Help" elsewhere on this page).
The current goal is to get her moved from her place on Saturday, August 9, time to be determined, but probably sometime in the mid-morning to early afternoon. She hasn't locked down a new apartment yet, so we'll probably be taking stuff to a storage facility. Obviously, the more people who help the faster things will progress, and a show of force will help keep her threatening neighbors off everyone's back.
If anyone can help or is willing even to come by and keep an eye on things (which the damn cops won't do), please PM me or seek me out at Black Friday or Ivey's, both of which I plan to attend with aridaine in tow. I can give you my cell phone number and/or the address in question. Any and all help will be appreciated, and though I can't promise cheap pizza or burgers or much of anything, I'm going to try my damnedest to make it as smooth and fun as possible, considering the circumstances.
Best,
Agent Dale Cooper

changing plans
OK, looks like things are changing, as they do on the fly like this.
Still no definites on an apartment, but a storage facility has been secured as well as a truck for the heavy stuff. The truck was not available on Saturday (some general packing will be done instead), so the new date will be sometime on MONDAY, again most likely late morning/early afternoon.
If anyone can help out on this landscape of rapidly shifting quicksand, please let me know.
Thanks!

update
Hey all.
Just sending an update to anyone/everyone who cares. It's just easier to do it this way than sending a bunch of PMs.
Aridaine has had all her stuff packed and today we got everything out of her old place and into storage. A tough day, an emotional day, but a good one overall.
However, what this means is that without an actual apartment and little capability to secure one until the beginning of September, she and her cat are effectively homeless. She's staying with me and my family now but she'll have to leave Tuesday night or Wednesday since I'm flying out Wednesday morning.
I know this is an inconvenience, I know this is an imposition, but if there is ANYONE who would be able to put her and her kitty cat up for a few nights, at least, please let me know asap. I can't offer much more then gratitude on the immediate side of things.
Very cool to meet a few of you at 11th St. Friday night, and I wish I could have stayed longer to meet more of you.
Best,
Paul
