Taco De Mexico

Unless you live in the area don't bother.

This place is a dive and while I am a big fan of dives in general this one is not up to par. I am not saying the food was bad, it was wholly edible but nothing more.

If you have a problem with cleanliness stay the hell away from this joint. The man who took my order and prepared my food had dirt under his fingernails.

The menu is limited, offering only about 12 items. Servings are ample and prices reasonable.

This is not an eat in dive; there are only 3 tables and no air conditioning.

All in all I give it 2 out of 5 staples.

Is this that little shithole just outside of downtown? Where they're watching Univision?

Because if it is, yeah, I've been there, and yeah, the food was disgusting.

How much more vague can I be?

Actually, yeah, it is the one I was thinking of, and yeah, the place is absolutely foul. It's a little hole in the wall, and I do mean hole in the wall, which I can scarcely imagine the city health inspector allowing to stay operational if they actually knew about it.

ok, well, I don't think of it being that close to downtown, and they didn't have Univision on the TV.

You can get to it from downtown, pick up food, and be back within a standard lunch hour, provided that you don't have to wait 45 minutes for your food, as my roommate and I did. Some people (idiotically) think that the Ice Chalet is in West Knoxville; I contend West Knoxville doesn't begin, at the very least, until you cross Bearden Hill. Differences.

Either way, Taco de Mexico is a place not meant for man.

(Were they watching Telemundo?)
