If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Xerxes wrote:our votes don't matter shit. as is obvious by the man that got elected. Gore won the popular vote by like 20 thousand votes, but the electorial colleges voted Bush. so we got out voted by a small minority that can be easily bought off

All of this goes without saying - or at least it should. However, I still think it'd be a terribly poor decision to not vote.

After all, if GWB is re-elected, and the sky is falling, I'd like to be able to say that I at least tried to make a difference in the path that is my reality.

Or would it be better to just "duck and cover!"? After all, the bombs can't hurt us if we don't see them... ¹

No way.

I am getting out there, voting AGAINST Bush, just like I did in 2000. It may not make a difference, but I'll be damned if I take the blame for anything that happens to my country or this world because I sat on my rear end and didn't speak my mind.

If you don't vote, if you don't take a stand, then you don't have the right to complain if things in the world take a turn for the worse.

And for those who say their vote doesn't matter: A mere difference of 500 people voting for Gore in Florida would have changed the course of history forever.

I don't think votes are even counted at all. I think they're just collected and burned. I'm sorry if no one got what I said, there really is no better way of wording it, at least none that I can see. Maybe someone can help me out if they get what I was trying to say.

My PSAT scores were held for an extra 2 months, because 2 tests were missing. I'm sure they count votes, it they count PSATs.

Nope, not yet. It's just a random guess, really. Probably not at all true. If that were found out the control mentality would be completely fucked and overthown within a bankers day.

Love- once you take governement courses, you will understand elections much more. And Junkie doesn't have to be grammatically correct, because he can make me shut up, and that takes alot.

"One word sums up probably the responsibility of any Governor, and that one word is 'to be prepared'."

Yea, that sums him up quite well.

in the past, i have always considered voting a waste of my time. because of the electoral college, the 2 party system, whatever else... and i still do consider it a waste. however.. i am going to throw my 2 cents in this time.
