If I ever say anything on this board that you find offensive, please stand up and put me in my place. But do keep in mind that I am not attacking you or your beliefs, but rather an organization that I feel has done a great deal more harm than good.

Now Republicans....Yeesh. They're almost as evil as Democrats. Or wait. Is it the other way around? So hard to tell them apart these days...

Will do! :)

Oh and I'm Libertarian....a Libertarian Christian.

God loves all of his creatures, or so the Bible says.

im not trying to bust anyones chops, we all believe differently, thats what makes us individuals and everyone is allowed to form their opinion. they why we have brains in the first place.

here, here! *slams a pint on the table*
there are many different version of any religion, it is a proven fact. i believe that you should believe what you will. i am wiccan, yet i love studying budism... i love to read books about the dali lama because he teaches you things about normal life and how to deal with emotions. i am wiccan, yet i do believe that jesus existed. everyone has their own belief , no matter what it maybe. but the thing about these judgement houses, is that they are telling you what is true to your heart could possibly damn you straight to hell. and i think that it is wrong...
give me good old cheesy haunted houses any day.

I am part Jewish(heh, though orthodox says I'm not since the bloodline comes from my grandfather  ).....if you research the Star of David, it oringinally was a pagan symbol before Israel adopted it.

Being the ex-wife of an Independent, Fundamental Baptist preacher, I , unfortunantly, know exactly what Judgement House is. It is sponsored by the Baptist faith and based on:
Romans 14:10-12
But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgement seat of Christ.
For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.

Judgement house depicts what happens at "the end of time" when saint and sinner stand before christ and are judged as to whether or not they accepted christ as their personal saviour. If the person did(they got "saved") they entered into heaven....if not, they are cast into hell to burn for eternity.

eh...being "saved" is a very personal thing and it should be between the person and God.

I am not against anyone because of their religion. but there are certain faiths i deem as suspicious. for example, the fundamentalist christian churches. i had good friend who, believed with all ehr ehart, that the church she bleonged to was good. but, in the end, her beliefs killed her. she was diabetic and her preacher told her that she was in fact possessed by satan, not diabetes. he convinced her to stop taking her insulin and died at his encouragement and chanting "fight the devil. you can win". that is evil, pure evil.

:morticia: Thank you so much for the info. The house using the Star of David as a black mass centerpiece was shown in the documentary Hell House. To be fair, once they realized their mistake, they removed it. I think the director pointed that one out. The really funny thing about this film (and I encourage everyone to see it if a print comes through) is how into the drama everyone got. " I really hope I get the part of Abortion Girl. Last year I was just an extra" Then all her girlfriends would giggle and cheer when she got the part...That kind of thing. There was one guy, an ex DJ who had been saved. His job was the Rave Room, where he portrayed a satanic DJ making all the puppets under his sway dance. This was a new exhibit in the hell house and you could thell the older people just did not get it. What was funny was seeing him get so involved in his part, picking the music, making the room look right. You knew that this was an aspect of his life that he missed so much. It was just kind of surrela to see how caught up they got in portraying such sinful, delicious decadence!

Fuck... that's pretty crazy. I also am a christian but shit like that only gets on my nerves.
It says in the bible not to judge your brothers and sisters for you too shall be judged. They don't even try to hide the fact that they're trying to scare people into christianity. It's fucken called "(Judgement) House".

I really hope noone asks me why I'm cussing if I'm a christian... I really hate that shit. :!:

I applaud the hell houses for trying to scare people but the scaring into being christian part is fucked. I would personaly call my self an agnostic/ satanic christian. I don't know god personaly but the old tesament seems like he was a bit of an ass. In the new testament jesus was a cool motherfucker that I admire. If he went into a hell house I think he would waste the lot of them in a very bloody fasion, especially sense most of them would probably be wearing the emplament of his death on their necks and such. Now that would be a kick ass hell house.
