I have no intention of ever forcing another intelligent, rational mind to have to cope with the utter fuckup this world is. I support the concept of negative population growth through sterilization, and wish it were as widely applied to humans as it is to animals. 100% of humanity's problems are caused by, you guessed it, humanity. The fewer there are of us, the less problems we create and the better off each one of us has it, down to a tolerable limit necessary to retain a sufficient margin of genetic diversity and progress the level of scientific awareness.

The vast majority of humanity is meaningless, worthless bulk, and far too many of our resources are spent trying to support them. Adding more to the problem is no solution, no matter how much you feel you're justified, special, or righteous. You're not. I'm not. And that's just the way it is.

But hey, land of the "free", home of the "brave".. We're all free to bravely face our own upcoming extinction together. Thanfully, I won't be responsible for anyone having to suffer through it.

Well I am typically fond of those :) I don't think it'll do all that much to change my mind on the subject, however :) Anyone that's a parent, or wishes children someday, will most likely disagree. I say these people are blinded by their own personal investments and selfishness. If I'm right, then each and every one of them is wrong, and most people hate to accept that.

Personally, I freely accept that I'm being selfish. I'd love to have a life with less competition for resources, less social constraint on who I am, because there are few enough that each person is considered as an individual, and valued as such, rather than how well they manage to adapt to the status quo. I'd love to live in an enviroment where every child is special, and cared for, and loved as an individual, a person, within not just their family, but their community. I'd love it if we could care for eachother when in need, and when not, without concern for monetary investiments. Simply because we're all people. And I don't mean your particular clique, or even the "scene". I mean everyone. For everyone to care for everyone because they recognize people as being unique, and worthwhile for that uniqueness. For respect to be given for differences as much as similarities.

But ya know.. That doesn't work with the world we have, with the number of people we have, with the systems we've made to manage them.

First, That's population decline...Not 'Negative Population Growth'...They contradict each other...

Though I agree with there being a 'population decline', by human interaction...It would be fully-automatic, & Nuclear destruction...Not some scientific interaction...& honestly...You'd be one of the first to go...

Eh, admittedly it's a rather backwards way of describing it. Rather like "Negative Acceleration," But growth sounds so much more positive than decline. Decline's so terribly pessimistic, and that frightens the sheep. Growth sounds more positive, and so it's easier to lead them along.

And as for nuclear disasters... We're right next to Oak Ridge. If it happens, we're all gone. Besides, I think it'd be far more fantastic and interesting a tale where humanity simply collectively realized their mistakes, and set about righting them in a systematic and positive manner. Is it unrealistic? Probably, but we can hope.

As for the personal attacks.. Umm.. Who are you again? We've been introduced or something, right? Well, regardless, I don't know that I have anything personal against you.. But I'm not one to stand in the way of free flowing hostility :) Go ahead and let it rip, a little righteous anger always livens up the boards :)

*sigh* Yeah I didn't see a rant coming out of this post. On the plus side though I have a new goal. To made Hades feel warm and fuzzy. Even if I have to ducttape his ass into an electric blanket.

Hey Lorne!! coming from a friend... remember what I told you last time? I think it would be best if once again you just shut up, and you know I am being completely sincere on that one.

Oh yes, and on that note... Hey Lorne, did you hear that Gwynn (you know, that adorable little kid that for some reason really likes you) is going to be a big sister? AWWW I aren't I being selfish?

And just for the record, if we don't have more kids, the fucktards will take over the world and who is going to tell them what to do?

Oh, I'm 100 percent for 0 population growth (birth rate equal to the death rate). My child was an accident, but without him I certainly wouldn't be here. In my life he brought meaning to an otherwise meaningless existence...but of course people shouldn't breed like rabbits, but there is no reason to hate children for their parents mistakes.

I just have never ever understood how people can hate children like Hades appears to...everyone once was one!

I suppose I eye those who hate children a little suspiciously...because I figure they are the only ones capable of abusing them...

It's cool...Just seemed a little 'backwards'...And no...We don't want to frighten the sheep...Until we have to herd them in...

That would be nice...But, you're right...Unrealistic...

That wasn't a personal attack...Sorry if that's how it read...Yes, we've been introduced...Just not by my screenname...This isn't hostility...It's just that in the event of war...You don't seem like the 'Squad Leader' type...That is all...

Agreed...This is why Screamin' Jay Hawkins' was building an army...lol...

Well then...Never thought I would say this...But I'm glad that you found something to make you happy...*Just Confused Himself*

I don't think that LordHadez' post waz ntended az a slam on all parentz ...

There iz no doubt that humanz hav overpopul8ed this planet & that solutionz need 2 b at the verrry least considered ... Sure, such faithz az Catholocizm may b offended at the idea ov establishing population controlz, but I believ that their structure ov beliefz on reproduction simply origin8ed from their dezir 2 build up enufff #z 2 obtain the religious/political power 2 which they'v clutched soooo tightly over theze grrr8 many yearz. Within many various familiez & culturez ov olde, reproducing several children 4 labor & healthy population growth purposez waz not uncommen ... Regardless, timez hav changed :!: & humanity must evolve & adapt 2 the world az it iz & b'cumz n order 2 survive :!: I dig kidz, but I agree with Hadez that it'z a pretty damn mizerable world 2 subject a child 2 ( but it'z all we'v got & we'r the only 1z who can do n-e-thing 2 mprove it) ... If I hav/had n-e kiddoz, I'd stop at 1 or 2 ... Un42n8ly, a whole lotta peepz on this planet do not seem 2 grasp the significance ov such global issuez/threatz ... Sooo terribly many don't even try ... much less appreci8, nurture, & take responsibility 4 the livez which they do cre8 ... or even their own ...

I know...Honestly...I think the best course of action is for those with any sense...To prepare...Those without...Let 'em topple...& those that just need to stay out of the Gene Pool...In the words of Elvis Costello..."Let 'em dangle...Let 'em dangle, God..."

Now...Back on topic...

I was driving my old friend's 10-year-old, little sisters around one day...And one asked if I would buy them a soda...Not a big deal...But first I asked if she had any money...She pulled out her wallet & replied..."I'm Empty", while holding out the wallet to show the lack of contents...I still use this reference when I'm broke....
