New Years Resolutions

Post by karmakaze »

yep, its about that time again. so what are you going to do this year that you failed to do last year?

I have a few..

I have a moral code that i tend to preach but at times I have trouble following. This of course, leaves me feeling like crap. hence, my first new years resolution is to be a better person.

my second, is to me more socially graceful. I don't have to many close friends who i feel like i can just go hang out with. In fact, socially i feel rather awkward around most people. I would like to overcome this and gain some closer friendships than what i have become accustomed too.

To continue to do well in school and to get my Security+ and CIW certifications this year.

learn how to weld

and finally to complete a large section of my goal to hike the appalachian trail
Making a HONDA fast is like coming out of the closet, yeah you might suprise a few people; but in the end.. your still gay.

i'll get in on this one early.

Allthough i can't say i didn't fullfill most of my resoulutions for the year this year..(of course i do still have two weeks) i did what i wanted to.

I was clean for the majority of the year...infact as of today one complete year drug free.

I did drop down past 200, i have gotten back up to 210, but i am inclined to think that is muscle. I attribute that fact to the fact that i am working out like fucking mad, and actually somewhat eating right for once.

Allthough i wrestled like nil this year...(maybe 30 shows) i did some bigger things, and took my spot as truelly the guy who is NOT going to do shitty indy shows just for the sake of doing them. I had some nice shows as well. I got to return to my old stomping grounds and show everyone how to run a show, i worked in 7 states, i was a vip at the charlotte convention, and i got to work with Tully Blanchard and Ricky Steamboat. I didn't do alot, but then again, what i did spoke marvelous tons.

This year, by end of 2005, i will be cut up, i will have that "look" everyone keeps telling me to get. I will have at least 10 awesome outfits, as i just got my sewing machine back, and have already started on a flash outfit, and a venom outfit. My house will finally be done, i will spare no expense to finally have a nice car. Also this year i will work AT LEAST 150 GOOD shows, along with AT LEAST 50 5 * performances. End of this year i made it ona worldwide dvd release with a sizzling promo.....people have already started talking about it....I'm doing another one for the same company in 3 weeks, and if they thought the one from nov was hot...they're gonna be in hell jan 7th.

Most of my goals are completely professionally related...some of them are regular life type shit...but noless, i'm gonna attain fully the body that everyone wants me to have, along with the success that i want...

By end of 2005 i will have worked for a MAJOR independent, be that 3pw, czw, or ROH.

I will add more states (this is already a lock, since i'm doing LA in april.)

and...i think thats really about it.
I'm a big bright shining star......

Well, my first is to be more responsible financially....I suck at money handling. BIG TIME!

My second, and the one I've already been working on, will go along with the one I implemented in the middle of January 2004. I vowed to stay single for a full year since I was a chronic relationship jumper before (when one ended, I'd look for the nearest one to get back into another one. I hated being single. This year, I've proven to myself that I can be single and it's not bad at all...actually fun. I'll make my goal the full year on Jan. 18, 2005.

My resolution for this next year, pertaining to that goal, is to go beyond just having fun being single and being comfortable with it but to use more of this time to be happier with myself and love myself and really, finally, get to know myself since I lost myself somewhere along the way of relationship jumping. That's my biggest one actually since it's working on the inside...

Hmm, let's see... Linux +, Network +, Server +, and RHCE are my goals for career wise. Work on increasing my Linux skills at work and absorb as much possible. I'd really like to pay my car off this year before the warranty runs out. I haven't had any problems out of it, but I feel uncomfortable owing on it without a warranty to back it up. I'd also like to do more stuff to up the value of my house, but I'll have to see how the budget for that works out. And of course, the things I will completely fail to do... start exercising, eat better, stop spending money on cd's and movies, and not drink so damn much.

I might sometime. I'm mostly concerned with the linux stuff right now. I could probably pass the Linux +, but I don't have the cash yet. I have a book on Linux + and I have a CBT disc for it that is supposed to be really really good. I have somebody that's going to give me a copy of the CBT for the RHCE stuff too.

1. Relax

2. Be a better friend

3. Go back to school and get my life on track, but somehow manage to get out of Knox

4. Leave boys alone [and no girls either] yes...being single is what I need but also what I fear

5. Continue the path to understanding motherhood, and stay focused on my daughter

oh yeah...I almost forgot, what the hell is up with these love-handles

amen to being terminally unable to manage money! shitty spenders unite! :woot:
i worked out a budget and realized that my total monthly living expenses worked out to be $150 more than my monthly income. rock! and i bitch about this as i sit here on my ass, eating pizza, and planning to go out tonight. bankruptcy and obesity, here i come! :dup:

being single is wierd. you are the 2nd person i've heard be proud of themselves for maintaining solo status for a yr. and thats not bad, live it up for all its worth! i've just been single for over 3yrs now. and even longer since i've been on a date. unless hanging out and fucking constitutes as a date.
granted, i haven't exactly been available or on the market for the entire 3 yrs, i'm just kinda indifferent to it. relationships are almost a foreign language to me anymore. like 'you have a boyfriend? wow. whats that like?'

i think i'm bored with it, as i am with alot of things in my life. so i think that will be my one resolution, to challenge myself more. do something unexpected. jump into the great wide open. grow as a person, blablabla. i sound like a fucking tarot card! :-?
i don't know it will be. whether its moving, trying sushi, a new job, or a new sexual position. i don't care! it will be something i haven't done before or have been reluctant to do.

hmmm i have plenty of things that need to be changed:

1. actually attend my classes
2. actually get a job ( and not quit)
3. not wreck my hair anymore ( it has begun to fall out)
4. feel better about myself
5. most importantly to stop being so freakin' shy!...i mean im not shy but peole think i am...

ok...i think im good now....oh yeah...be nice to people...if they arent assholes of course
if the native americans can do a "rain dance" to get rain when they need it, then why cant i do a "penis dance" to get sex when I need it?

Well, I don't really have too many. Basically just to take care of myself, sell some more paintings and move back to Detroit. That's all the goals I really have.

Not trying to start a distro war, but... RHCE? Ick. I'm sorry for you.

It's mainly for the job thing. The place I work at and most other corporations that I know of stick to Redhat for their Linux servers. That's not to say that I don't try to push Debian or another distro when given the chance. What I'm dreading is when I have to start picking up all the Solaris stuff.
