Al Quaida - No ties to Iraq

Post by Onibubba »

This from MSNBC today. The 9/11 panal found no evidence linking Iraq and Al Quaida. The panel's findings were released two days after Vice President Dick Cheney asserted that Saddam had "long-established ties" with al-Qaida. President Bush defended the statement in a news conference Tuesday, saying the presence in Iraq of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who is accused of trying to disrupt the transfer of sovereignty as well as last month's decapitation of American Nicholas Berg, provides "the best evidence of connection to al-Qaida affiliates and al-Qaida."

Yeah, that could be one explanation of al quaida presence in Iraq...Another could be our president's invitation to terrorists to come join in the war. You all remember this don't you? Let's make sure everyone else does.

It's arrogance like this which is going to be the ruin of our nation, if this idiot gets re-elected. You thought Iraq was bad? once he's re-elected, he can go gung-ho. Iran, North Korea, any other country he decides he doesn't like? What's to stop him? He's not going to be able to be re-elected anyway!

The last time there was such arrogance on this level, was when we started getting our noses involved in Viet Nam.
