What do you want played at your funeral?

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

I'm being cremated & my ashes strewn in the ocean. So far, that's the most beautiful place, in nature, I've been. IF I had a funeral, my song would be Highway to Hell! j/k Actually, I would prefer Enya "Only Time".
Why don't you go outside & play Hide-&-Go-Fuck-Yourself?

That actually sounds cool.

I think I want Sponge Bob Square Pants played at my funeral.

Actually, nothing will be played at mine, since I'm a god and gods don't die.

Ok...what are the first three letters in funeral? F.U.N.! Fun. That’s right. So that means party favors for everyone. You know, balloon animals, and bubbles, and those little popper thingys for everyone. While that’s going on there’s going to be some light polka playing in the background. Everyone loves polka. Then we’ll have a clown for the kids, but no ordinary clown...no. This guy has to pull out a gun during the middle of his “balloon animal makings” and shoot one of my friends. Everyone will be screaming and running and yelling, “MAD CLOWN!!!” until my friend stands up and waves to the crowd to let them know he’s fine. He’ll shake the clowns hand and everyone will laugh about it over some hard liquor. Then I want 7 identical coffins brought in, each empty. Everyone will take their seats. The lights will dim and one of the coffins will be brought out in front of the crowd. Then there will be an explosion of smoke and a magician will appear in front of the the casket! He’ll do an awesome magic show. The grand finale will be him opening up the empty casket behind him, closing it, and opening it again. He’ll close it one more time, tap it with his wand, and then open it. The audience will Ooo and awe when they see my rotting corpse dressed up like Jesus in the coffin. Then I want a church choir to walk in from the sides and sing “Carol of the bells.” (I love that song) then some helpers from the audience will mix up all of the 7 identical coffins. They will each be sent to seven different locations in the world (kept confidential) and hidden. The real me will be buried with one million in cash and will be marked by a 20ft marble statue of me kneeling over the grave crying. There will be one real map to my grave site, presented to one random person at my funeral. It could be you. If that person chooses to hunt for, “My buried treasure.” A camera crew will follow them and a new breed of reality show will begin.

But as for the main song...I’m thinking Mad World, Tears for fears.
"...I wish...I wish someone would just switch me off and...fix me. Bunny? "
'Yes, Nny? "
"I'm not happy. "

John Anderson - (I'm just gonna' be) Country Til I Die
Cause I am

George Jones - He Stopped Loving her Today

Joe Diffie - Prop me Up Beside the Jukebox (when I die)
Cause its funny

John Prine - Paradise
Cause its about favorite childhood memories and how you can't go back to them &/or how times change

Towns Van Zandt - Deadflower (Rolling Stones cover)
Cause well its catchy and about death and drugs

Willie Nelson - Loving her was Easier (than Anything I'll Ever do Again)

I always wanted something that was strangely happy (if that made any sense).

So on that note, I pick Christian Death's "This Mirage". It would make me happy (if I were alive) and confuse the hell out of people at the funeral. I think it would help turn my funeral into abstract performance art, which would be good in my opinion. That's all life is anyway :).

I think the Welcome Back Kotter Theme Song should also be on my funeral playlist.

I'm definitely going to your funeral to see the looks on your family's faces.
