Am I the only one who doesn't get excited when crusty old has-beens reunite for a last ditch attempt at nostalgia? Exhibit A: the new Jane's Addiction album, which is very boring.

I mean, I love the Pixies, but you know... I highly doubt the new album will be all that great. If it is, I'll be very surprised. I think it's more likely it'll sound at best very similar to their old stuff, and at worst will just be boring.

But then again, I'm kinda interested in the new Camper Van Beethoven album, if it happens. I guess I just feel the songwriting potential is stronger there.

Ya know, everyone that can reunite, will. I naysayed the Bauhaus reunion and I naysayed the Sex Pistols reunion because both had sworn "never."

I can't say as my expectations for a new Pixies album will really be that high, but to see them play live...Yes. That is something that I can get really excited aboot.

4AD bands were and are special to me. They were my branch out from punk and metal and into exciting and different sounds. Pixies, Throwing Muses and Wolfgang Press all did that for me, and it has been a musical progression / exploation ever since. I'd love the opportunity to see any of the play live.

Awesome. I just wanna see them live!! I don't care about a new album.

I saw the bauhaus reunion tour and it was awesome. I saw the Concrete Blonde reunion and it was great and I really liked the cd. I think reunions can be quite good.

Now, if only the Smiths would do the same...I could die happy.

OMG, I just told someone about this and they had never heard of the Pixies. I feel sick.

You may not like the Pixies, but surely you've heard of them.

All I want is to be able to see them live.
