Ah, McKay's.

If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Ah, McKay's.

Post by Jack »

Man, I love how McKay's always severely underprices any and all goth/industrial music they get. Today, in the bargain bin, I found the following gems:

Ruby - Salt Peter - Now, while Lesley Rankine of Silverfish and Pigface didn't have the most stunning post-NIN industrial album of all time, it was certainly worth the 48 cent pricetag.

The Final Cut - Consumed - 95 cents for an early-90s Nettwerk album guest starring Nivek Ogre and Chris Connely that successfully fused driving techno beats with traditional industrial sensibilities? Yes, please.

BiGod 20 - The Bog cd-single - 48 cents for the best BiGod 20 song, hands down, plus a couple remixes and the otherwise impossible-to-find song "I-Q".

Fury in the Slaughterhouse - Mono - Hey, a Leonard Cohen knock-off is alright by me, and their minor hit "Every Generation's Got Its Own Disease" is definitely worth two quarters.
I was born a bastard - and then I just got worse.

Sweet. That's been out of print for quite a while.

Awesome! Excellent work, Jack! The frugal-force is strong with this one!

MMMMMMMMM, Ruby!

I used to have that album, and the maxi single of Paraffin. Sadly, I had to sell them. *growl*

To McKay's? :D

I had it when it came out, also. Sometimes I wonder if I'm actually ending up with the very same copies of albums I sold back in the years when I often sold CDs for money.

Hmm, nope. I sold it , along with a lot of others, when I lived in Jacksonville, for diapers and food money. Times were LEAN.

I typically make a small mark on the inside cd cover of my CDs... so that if I ever sell them and have to rebuy them.. I can tell if they were mine or not. So far I've not gotten any of mine back yet. ;o)

So far I have most of the Ruby material, and I like all of it.
Great find on the BiGod 20 single, their stuff is a complete pain in the ass to find.
Another lucky find on the Final Cut - Consumed. I didn't even know it existed.

Good work indeed.

I too found my copy of Saltpeter in the 48 cent bin.
I love that album. "This stink is mine..."

I found BiGod's "SuperCute" in there as well. Funny thing was it was a promo copy, much like the one that was stolen out of my car a month or so before....Mmmm? Destiny?

I once found ChemLab's "Suburban Warfare" once in the bin for a fuggin quarter. Go figure.
