If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

OK, then how about Def Leppard's "Armageddon It" and Love and Rockets "So Alive" since they're both blatant rip-offs of "Bang a Gong"?

First a request..."Dancing with Myself" by Billy Idol. The place needs and demands to be to be iniated.

:boing: :boing: :boing:

IN other reltations...Ok I Know Hystreria was a tribute to glam rock. Rocket says it all. But "Armageddon it" a rip off of "Bang A Gong"? I'm not hearing it yet. maybe similar guitar tones but that's all.

and while "So Alive" has a similiar melody I think it's less like "Bang a Gong then" then "Armageddon it" It's slower for one. And the muscian arrangement is totally different.

And for the Final Test...

*setting up music*

"Bang a Gong" makes me want to strut and shake hips. I extend my right hand a lot stright out clapping with one hand while doing so. I do a few turns.

"Armageddon it" I get down on my knees a lot. Expecially during the "Give me all of yoru loving" part. I twirld a lot more. I tend to extend both hands out..

"So Alive" I'm move very slowly on this one my feet cross each other constantly. There's the sidways crossbow gesture on a few lines. I also do a few turns on "walk in the wind"

So far neither "Amrageddon it" or "So alive" have the strut and stagger that "Bang a Gong" has. "Amregeddon it" comes close but I get a more passionate rocker plea from it. "Bang a Gong" makes me feel powerful...."Armgeddon it" makes me feel desperate.
