Hey, just wondering...
How many of us are there 'round here? I know there's more than I expected... Tell us what you ride.... :D

And, maybe we can convince the powers that be to make a new forum for us... yay!

83 Dressed out Goldwing (which I love)
83 Dressed out Silverwing (which I also love)
79 Naked Goldwing (which I love when it runs....for now I tolerate it.)
88 Yamaha Virago (Which has been STOLEN by BDL....Partially because it fits her, but mostly because it hates me.)

87 Suzuki 550....which I hate cause it is a sports bike and they feel funny. It has a charging problem as well...which I would fix if I wanted to ride it. Which I don't. It was only $500 bucks though.

i had a red version of this GZ250 (Baby Bike) which I traded in for thimble's new car about 8 months ago...

*sniff* I miss my baby. I may get another one in the next couple of years, but for now I need to save my money!

The last bike I had was a KZ650 about... um... 8 years ago :(

I miss it. I could care less about the bike. I just miss riding. My sugar momma won't buy me one; says I'll kill myself on it. *sigh* I guess It's for the best, though... I can't figure out how I'd get the baby seat on it, any way. ;)
The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Its not a bike but i've got a '46 Willys CJ2A. Its as close to riding on top af a vechicle as you can get with being a motor bike. Top speed of 40, 45 with the windshield down going down a steep grade. And low gears that will scare you. I'm getting ready to build a T Bucket. I'm also going to build an adult big wheel first to get my welding tubing down, and a lowrider bicycle or 2 for shits and grins.

I want a motorcycle but i've got enough of a car habit right now, bikes would just make things worse.

I'm in for a 'mechanical' forum for cars and bikes, and shit automotive/engine powered.
There is no replacement for displacement.

Woo, I just purchased a 2001 Suzuki GS500. First bike I've ridden in about 8 years. Quite happy to be out in the sun on two wheels again. Wheee!

I'll go ridin' with ya... if ya come out to the desert. :)

lets see-
1st bike-
1980 yamaha xs1100j midnight special
Image
pretty bike, fun to ride presently in Vader's posession
not *quite* in this nice condition

2nd bike
1986 yamaha radian 600
Image
greal little towner- but not as much fun for x-country, but quick.
rebuilt it for an ex- shes playing w/ it someplace in MN

3rd bike
1982 honda silverwing 500cc
Image
hated the rear brake- almost killed me on the test drive
sold it to vader 2 days later
after rebuilding it a few times w/ vader he eventually sold it.
had an awesome custom seat

4th bike
1986 honda rebel 450
Image
cute little bike- too small for my taste- ok for commuting to school n back. great looker- and women like driving it.
presently in VA w/ the cutest lipstick lesbian i've ever had the pleasure of meeting. or photographing.

5th bike
ANOTHER 1986 yamaha radian 600
<i'll spare you another pic>
what can i say? cheap- bullitproof, fast n fun!
presently on the west side of town in a buddys garage- he occasionally rides it.. just now it needs a little work- may just sell it to him and use the $ for somthing else. that or pull parts for the one in MN.

6th bike
1993 yamaha gts 1000
Image
GREAT FUN!!
not as good a looker (classically) as the midnight special. must be the seat. the mirrors only do you any good if you have a hand fettish, and the sport bike handlebars are a bit much for a long trip, and i DETEST the bright blue seat the previous owner put on it...
BUT
it has a modified fzr1000 125hp racing engine 0-60 in less than 3, fuel injection, ABS 60-0 in less than 80 feet, single sided front suspension that rides like a dream, & givi hardcases.

mirrors and handlebars as well as seat are up for replacement soon as i have a little extra $..
still looking for my next one-- was thinking of a rotary engine.
i like the odd stuff.

well- thats my collection- of bikes anyway..
derk.
