The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.
You know, while I don't really want to look at some guy's schlong, I think this puritanism is really getting insane in this country.
The police should have laughed at her, and this shouldn't even be a crime. He didn't touch her, didn't make any threatening moves, and was not really hurting anybody. Yeah, maybe it's a bit rude to play with yourself in public, but this kind of reaction is nuts.
Half the population has a penis. Get over it if you happen to see one.
And it's a double standard - how many guys are going to call the cops if you happened to see a lady playing with herself? Probably none of you. If you enjoy it, you'll watch and/or take pictures; if not, you'll look away.

We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.

I beg to differ. If this happened to me I would feel threatened. Yeah, it IS a crime. What if there had been children in that train car? Or...what if the next time he doesn't just sit across from someone and stare at them while he whips it out?
Better yet, I don't think you'd feel that way if someone did this at Sanctus. I don't think you'd laugh it off Jonathan, especially if it was some drunk fucker staring at Thrall and doing this.

But he did just sit across from someone. What if next time he doesn't do anything else - and in fact he never does anything else? Do you really have any evidence that this behavior, while rude, is going to lead to violent crime? I certainly don't. And I'm sorry you would feel threatened, I just can't see it as a threatening act - exhibitionism is a totally different ball game from assault or rape. It's like smoking in the non-smoking section - it's rude, but the worst that should happen is a ticket with a small fine, not jail time, and certainly not a life sentence to the "sex offender registry" witchhunt that has become so popular lately.
And as for what he might do next time - maybe we should outlaw angry looks - because if somebody gives you an angry look, you might feel threatened, and who knows what they might do next time. I'm not being silly, it's the same logic you're using.
And it isn't like we haven't seen such things at Sanctus before. I think the worst we'd do would be a boot out the door, no need to call the cops, try to file charges, anything like that. Usually we just tell him to cover up.

I feel that sitting across from someone on a train, staring at them, and masterbating is completely different than if they gave you an angry look.
How about this, we decide that it is offensive to me if someone did that in front of me. However you, for some reason, would be perfectly fine if yourself and a gentleman were the only ones in a train car, and he sat and stared at you and masterbated.
