Soft beating heart gently stirring
beneath the sheets of lust and
building up to a climax of desire
the fire of two great lovers
underneath the covers of sweat
and attraction for one another
young are they so and delicate
thin and pale as ghosts dancing
about in the hazy midnight blue
graveyards among tombstones
and frozen angels and saints
Touching lips and wanton glances
caressing and sharing a sweet
innocent moment of truth and passion
then the beasts stir from within
and the animal cries are loud against
the tainted dusty and bleak
bedrooms walls as they ride with
the night and embrace the heat
off each of their bodies glistening
with the moisture of perspiration
dedication to love and the labour
thereof strong and energetic
taunting teasing and pleasing
then they fall
asleep to dream until the call
of alarmclock crowing
calling on them to pick up
where they left off
with desire
