Best Love Songs

Post by BornUnderPunches »

His my list of my favorite songs I at least marginally consider to be love songs, even if it is in a rather dysfunctional way. Some are rather cliche or obvious choices, but oh well.

Heroes by David Bowie
Heaven by Talking Heads
Same Deep Water as You by The Cure
Watch TV by Rasputina(very dysfunctional)
China Girl by Iggy Pop(vastly superior to Bowie's version, quite lo-fi though)
Suzanne by Leonard Cohen
Putting the Damage On by Tori Amos
Love Will Tear Us Apart by Joy Division(obvious)
Sunrise by New Order(probably the best song Bernard ever wrote, he's not much of a poet)
You Just Haven't Earned it Yet, Baby by The Smiths(Longing for love)
20 years, 7 months, and 27 days.

You walk in my soul..Gary Neuman
1000 hours...Green Day(see distillers track for pithy comment)
Where the wild roses grow...Nick Cave( My ex and I used to sing this song to each other...)
Ship song..Concrete Blonde(I prefer the Nick Cave.Pj Harvey version)
Ice Cream...Sarah McLachlan
Hold on....Tom Waits(I cant get through a best of list without mentioning a waits tune)

If I could find my Motown collection Id really hook y0u up with some music made for lovin...
