The gnomes killed my shoes

Post by Alur006 »

Apparently Airwalk as a company underwent some massive drama since I last bought a pair of shoes (4 years ago). I really, really liked the shoes just for being casual and very comfortable and durable. Now I don't actually skate, but I'd like another pair of shoes similar to my old Airwalks that don't suck. I've had Vans in the past, and they've always fallen apart very quickly especially in the heel, which will then eat my socks. I've seen Sketchers but they're so heavily advertised in odd places that I question the validity of the shoe vs. the marketing. If anyone knows where I can find a good low cut sneaker similar to older Airwalks, let me know!

One name is all you will ever need....... Chuck Taylor!
Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.

Tho I love my chuck taylors I don't think they provide the Jamaican bobsled team and support Alur would be seeking... I lived in my vans till they died (I still mourn them) and used to regularly steal my boyfriend's airwalks.... if I think of anything to fit that category, Brian, I will let you know.

I love chucks and I love sketchers. Actually sketchers are really good. I have a pair of boots by them that I had since I was 17 (I'm 22 now) and they are in really good condition. I wear them all the time, too.

I'll back up sketchers. They have a lot of really cute shoes, and they're surprisingly good quality. I had a pair of tennis shoes that I wore constantly and they lasted four and a half years, until the sole fell off one of them. I guess I could have glued it back on, but I didn't. They were my favorite shade of pale purple and gray, and I loved them. I miss them.

I bought my current pair of Airwalks up here at a local outlet store last June, for $25. This is a huge store and nearly half of their inventory are older model but unused Airwalk shoes.

I ended up picking up a pair of Etnies that I really like so far, they're more or less just like the Airwalks I love so much. ^_^

And wtf @ "Jamaican Bobsled Team"? Is that a fat joke?

I buy my shoes at goodwill, and, somehow, they hold up surprisingly well. But that's probably because i usually buy invincible combat boots made of sheer bulletproof asskick.

Dear, if you attempt to type anything similar to the P 1 L L O W word ( I believe I used Cu5hion) it fills in something else.
