Okay, you got one of my top two in that list. There is actually an article in the latest Asleep By Dawn about the group and their latest cd Vortex. Since they held an "open remix call", there is also a number of remixes that weren't released on Vortex on the Collide website. I haven't had time to listen to any of them yet, but I will eventually get there.

My other favorite female vocalist is Sarah Brightman. I began listening to her when the cd was released from Phantom of the Opera (Webber's Broadway Production). Her talent is amazing.

Another few that have struck my interest on different occasions are Victora Lloyd (previously mentioned by Fallen as well) from Claire Voyant, Christa Belle of Hungry Lucy, Julie Davidson from Per Somnia and Sonja Kraushofer of L'Ame Immortelle.
I'm not wicked. I'm just viciously mischievous.

With the discussion of "Gloomy Sunday" covers in another thread, it reminded me of another female singer that I shamefully left off of my list. Heather Nova.

I heard a song that reminded me of "The Girl from Ipanema" and I realized I didn't add Astrud Gilberto to this list.
