Swaying speechless

Watching
the slate grey sky
wash its dullness
over the canvas
of reality

Streams of the sadness
spew over
the sides of the bridge
Glistening in the gutters
jumping off rooftops
plopping and popping
onto the ground

in the lonely howl of the rain

As the memories
drive away

The trunk is packed full
of years gone by

I like it...it's very Lisa Loeb-esque, if you don't take any offence to that. She's a icon of mine, so take it as a compliment, even if you don't like her music.
