March Sanctus
New to KnoxGothic, new to the area, new to Sanctus. What kinds of things do you wear to this? Is it themed or anything goes? And will I get run over if I walk down the street wearing anything too outrageous?

Black, baby, anything black.
No, no theme this month, though some are unofficially calling it a pimps & ho's theme. Alot of folks like the vinyl look, spikes, leather, lace, naughty school girl attire, renn fair type garb, punk look never dies, etc...
Some peeps go all out, especially for Sancuts. I've referred to it as a fashion show every bit as much as a dance night. Others keep it simple. It doesn't matter what you wear... (just as long as you are there
). But seriously, come in whatever you feel comfortable in. If you don't want to stand out like a sore thumb, dark colors are best, but of course if you do want to stick out, try some orange or yellow. I doubt we'll have too much of those colors there.
By the way, welcome to the board! Come say hello on Sunday. I'll be the short, round chick with long black hair who stays on the dance floor pretty much the entire night. I look forward to the pleasure of your acquaintance!

Change how you see, not how you look.

You'll probably get some wierd looks in the Old City if you've gone all out. If you are scantily clad, you'll probably get a mixture of wierd and lascivious looks. That's all part of the fun. And generally people are too wierded out or confused to try to run you over.
I have to say, the Sanctus crowd could never look as scary as the Tonic crowd...

Well, I live about 2 blocks away from Blue Cats, so I'm planning to just make a run for it and hope no one attacks me! I'm sure anyone I pass will make a comment, though, since it happens when I walk down to Old City Java in jeans and a t-shirt before work

oh god, does anyone have a cane? i need one. that could be lots of fun, and a great dancing accessory, i could substitute it for a pole.
lol, yeah don't be like me and wear a baby blue, sheer neglegie, silver boots and wings. because that clearly fits in with a goth crowd on the "day of the undead", lets see who sticks out like a sore thumb in this pic
