Man with the Screaming Brain back in Development... and this time we mean it! (02.22)

Webster's Dictionary added a new word to its lexicon last week: perpetualmost, which refers to the neverending state in which something nearly (but never actually) happens. The word was invented in response to the on-again-off-again status of Bruce Campbell's pet project Man with the Screaming Brain.

Yes, Man with the Screaming Brain has been in various stages of development since 1987 and most recently almost happened last year. Fortunately, the project is back on, and Bruce is going to write, produce, direct, cater, and star. So, thanks to the Sci-Fi Channel, Bruce will be heading off soon to quaint Bulgaria to begin filming, and "The Little Movie That Could" should appear on Sci-Fi sometime in 2005.

"Man with the Screaming Brain is a story of greed, betrayal and revenge in the big, bad city. William Cole, wealthy industrialist, winds up with part of his brain replaced by that of a Latino street hustler. The two couldn't be more different, but they share one thing - both were killed by the same woman. Brought back to life by a mad scientist, William and Paco form an unlikely partnership to track down their common nemesis. If I were pitching it in Hollywood, I'd say it's Body Heat with a brain transplant."
