Wish I had seen this before. I ordered a bottle in hopes of having some of the green fairy for halloween. Still waiting...for shite appearantly. When reading some of the posts from those sites, I noticed that almost all absinthe from Czech has been slammed as complete crap. Also, that the effects have been trumped up by movies and a recent article in Maxim. In short, I probably should have saved some money and jsut bought some shrooms. It seems they both taste like crap

Hurrah! The green fairy arrived. Must hold out until halloween...Honestly though, everything i have read since ordering says that this stuff tastes horrid, and the recipes for drinking it don't seem like they would help to mollify the taste.
I'm thinking that it might be better served hot, blended with herbal teas. Kind of like a hot toddy, only...not.
Anyone with any experience that can recommend a better way to drink this, please post. Taste is supposed to be a STRONG bitter anise / licorice flavor similar to Ozo.

Use Long thin glasses (thin is optional), Fill half way with liquid,
Option one, suspend a cube of sugar over glass (use a drink straner) and pour water over the cube.
Option two pout cold water into the glass to fill it up.
the water works with Rakyi also, its also cool to eat a peice of toast about 10mins before you do you Rakyi shots.

Sorry about that.....
I plan to oder from this group. Notice that one page ships worldwide and the other only ships to the UK.

I've read some good reviews of both brands on this site. But, you can only get one shipped to the US.
Duct tape is like 'The Force'. It has a light side and a dark side, and it holds the universe together.
I thought about the Le Fee also. I went cheap by ordering the Strong - 65.00 including shipping. Even so, that is much money for a bottle of liquor. I'm going to give it another chance this weekend with those recipes though. If that makes this stuff drinkable I will let you all know.

Sorry, no wormwood, no point......
Le Fee has a little bottle which should make about two or three glasses. I'm going to try that first. That way I can tell if the big bottles are worth it. Plus, it comes as a kit with a slotted spoon for proper pouring.
