If it's not covered by one of those other categories, you should probably talk about it here. Be nice.

Dumb Question

Post by keltora »

How do you shrink an avatar so it's only 6 kb. If I create one in the pixil limit, it comes to 23 kb, and if I lower the color count, I can't get it below 9.5 kb...

Suggestions?

Save it as a gif . . . or a low quality jpg. . .
Rufus is widely regarded as the meanest dog employed by the State Department since Bocephalus, a hard-on of a coon hound who was, by all accounts, crazier than possum fuck.

I resized mine with MS paint. Its under image attributes so you can resize it. I just didn't have a site to host my new image so I had to find another.

The easiest way is to use either photoshop or paintshop pro. Open you avatar and then save as a jpg at a low quality... say around 2 or 3 on the 1-10 slider scale.

I just found a couple of pictures on my computer (my own art) that I can get down to 2 to 5 kb, so now it's a matter of choice...

Will still wait until tomorrow since I never allow myself to upload any file after 9:00 pm when my inner geek goes to sleep.

Besides, doing the taxes took the last of my brain power astray...
