Local Author: Karl Edward Wagner

Karl Edward Wagner was a horror writer, editor, and supporter of the horror genre. I never met him, although I'm sure we were at a few SF Cons at the same time. His ex-wife/widow still lives in Knoxville, as does his friend artist John Mayer. Wagner wrote about many horrific things, many of them set in or around Knoxville, but the one story that stuck in my mind for the last fifteen years or so had kudzu in it as an element of horror. Anyone from around here has to appreciate that, Horror fan or no.
