Struggle Within

Internally challenged for all control,
Two inside but only one you know.
Internally at war, losing my soul,
Seeking peace in a world of woe.

Externally calm and along for the ride,
Cracking up, but still alive.
Externally horrified wanting to hide,
Breaking down waiting to die.

Facing demons that try to implode ,
Choking within losing my soul .
Calling for angels, about to explode,
Drowning in my desire to live.

An angel comes down pulls me up from hell,
Thankful for a reason to live.
The angel’s a demon consuming what’s left of me,
Nothing now is my life.
