house of leaves
I just started what is quite possibly the most, well, eccentric horror novel I've ever come across and was curious if anyone else had read it. It's "House of Leaves" by Mark Danielewski. Anyone familiar with this title?

I've read it. I loved it, though it's not an easy read, what with all the footnotes and weird screwed up sections and things printed at all different angles. I'm a fan of postmodern deconstructions of the novel form though, and also of meta-fiction, and it's both. I thought it was pretty scary, too.
I'd be interested to hear what you thought when you are done!

It's a great book. I've currently got 2 copies (blue and red 2 color editions), The Whalestoe letters, and of course his sister's CD.
It's rather interesting how everything twists around from plotline to plotline. It should be fun reading, and I can't really go into much without spoiling sections of the plot.
I can describe my experience though, it bored me, in enthralled me, and it utterly pissed me off.
Enjoy reading it...
