It seems that a good part of your arguement revolves around the idea that killing is wrong in all circumstances. Further, it seems that this belief comes from the Ten Commandments. "Thou shalt not kill."

Do a bit of research. You will find that the Hebrew word for kill could be translated as murder. If you think about it, this is much more consistant with the rest of the Old Testament (where the big ten are given) where entire armies are slain with a jawbone with the help of God.

One more point. You utterly sicken me. Just thought I would let you know that.

I hate to jump in here with a point that no one seems to have covered but if I heard correctly the US is turning Saddam over to be tried in Iraq and if I do remember correctly, their laws are based on the Koran. And based on the Koran, murderers get beheaded in a public square. Different culture, different rules. And applying our "morals" onto their culture is an insult. I hate to see Saddam be tried under our laws, he'd claim to be a "victim" and sue the US for giving him the weapons/money/etc to start the atrocities that made him a criminal in the first place. It's a vicious circle all in the name of "civilization", well toss me in a fur bikini and call me a barbarian. *grunt*

All political arguement aside, I want to take theis opporituniyt to say how incredibly honored and proud I am to call Tat2Jay my friend. He is one of the finest men I have ever known.I think he is very brave to defend our freedoms, including the freedom of speech that allows people on this board to express themselves no matter how fucking ignorant they are. Jay had to leave his family and friends here to do a job most people would shoot themselves in the foot or fake being gay to get out of. I think regardless of how anyone feels about the war personally, you have to give respect to people like Jay and Stage for putting thier asses on the line for us. We could live in a country that requires all of us to serve in the millitary. Despite all our country's imperfections, we are more free than any other nation on earth. I am proud to say we have millitary personell and veterans among our community.

i gotta throw my hands towards kittys way on this in agreement.
i may not agree with why we are there, but im damn proud of anyone who would stand up and just protect their own and the ones they will never meet or the ones they never even liked..
most of us (self included) wish we had the balls to do such.
hate my government (only because i hate the powers that be...) but i love my country and i love im free enough to disagree with my government and with my fellow citizens... hell the fact we always disagree is one of the reasons that this country has came as far as it has.. constant change. sooner or later everyone gets a shot to try solution A,B, or C... see what im sayin here??
NOONES EVER AGREED on how to run this country and noone knows how much (or possible little) the government lies to people and its troops...
our troops do what they do because they want our way of life preserved.... then we can all work out the kinks in our system together.
my hat goes off to all of them. and no matter how fucked up you may think what they do is....... they keep your ass in a position to say that. and most preconcieved notions of what our military is are pretty fucking media-biased and FALSE anyway....
i hope this came out right... started drinking early tonight. lol
but again, if you cant see that without our troops and all the blood thats been spilled to keep this country together it wouldnt be here...your fucked up beyond words.

i am about as non-patriotic as you can safely get, and i have been in the whole anti-whatever argument that you seem to dance illogically around. with several of the people currently posting in this thread, but they can even back up that i had valid points and thought out reasoning behind my views. but even i have to say the basis of your arguments are not really based in any sort of contemplated reason and your thought process is that of a 6 year old.
