Many of you are probably not aware of this, but back at the tail end of Lava Lounge, EHC was to play a show. They called Lava to say they were in town, and that was the last we heard from em....

After waiting 3 hours after the show was to start for the band to show up, I am in no hurry to every play or support EHC. They blew off the show here with not even so much as a "sorry we can't make it." Lava had to refund everyones tickets once it was realized the band was not going to appear.

That's why I don't play em...

I was there. It sucked nads and they're fucking assholes. But I still like to listen to their music every now and again.

But yeah, I understand your point here.

i 2nd karma's suggestion of KMFDM's mysterious ways.

i'm surprised i don't hear more skinny puppy. protest is ok, but personally, i'd rather hear track 7 off that same album. i think its called downsizer, i dunno. i know numbers, not titles!

i like marilyn manson and nin just as much as any, but i roll my eyes every time i hear 'sweet dreams' or 'closer'.
its like someone confirming its a "goth" event by playing one or the other.
pick a different song. i always liked apple of sodom.
i also think it would be interesting to see what would happen if someone were to play dopehat.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay POE! she does a great cover of 'our lips are sealed'
yaaaaaay jem.

garbage is good. i loved them so much i would have given shirley manson head, but it aggrivates me everytime the R+J version of #1 crush is played.
PLEASE play the original (aka: goth version). its better. i have it if you can't find it, along with ALOT of good remixes of other songs. i'll be happy to make a copy.

a perfect circle- magdelena, never heard it played in a club. will definitely make me dance if i'm not too busy masterbating to it.

these usually get plenty of play, but i still love them:
depeche mode-never let me down again
the cure-fascination street
portishead-glorybox
prince-erotic city, get off, cream

and just random thoughts;
sonic youth-bull in the heather
more kidney thieves
lords of acid's cover of lady marmalade
bjork-all is full of love or emergency

i'm totally sick of:
revco-do ya think i'm sexy
how soon is now- any version
covenant-like tears in rain

and i don't think these are EVER a good idea:
evanescence
icp
loveshack
godsmack

thats just a bite of my 2cents

Dear Lord!! You've gone and invoked him now. Shit, he's gonna show up any day now. You bastard. :)

I was there too. Fucked up shit. Music playing, people standing around, and everywhere you walked you heard, "Where the fuck are they?".

As am I, its totally inferior to Der Leiermann (which is the German version) which I so much prefer to hear. Why they did an english version with completely different lyrics is beyond me

I was there that night too.....

We waited outside, and never went in because we heard they hadn't showed up. We left after waiting around a bit.

But, I still love the band :)

Ya know, that is the only time we went to Lava....and we never actually went inside, lol.

I know at one point me and Dedboi thought it would be funny if three guys went up there and lip synched EHC songs. The idea was, maybe nobody knew what these guys looked like. And there was plenty of alchoul being passed around.

Could have worked

Those aren't good for a goth night, but for Temple I think they work.

I like the fact that Temple is not just another goth night, and that we will get to hear a wide variety of music.

And, I think it would be nice to hear Dopehat...or practically anything off of Holy Wood!!! I don't know why, but it seems people overlook that album alot....and there are some really great songs on there.

I would definitely like to hear more ICP, Twiztid, ABK, etc...(I'm a sucker for Psychopathic shit)

AND, outkast....

Hell, I'd like to hear stuff like Dimmu Borgir, Otep, Death Angel, Crisis.....

I mean, not all of us come out to dance. Alot of us come out to socialize, and hear decent music over a decent sound system :)

And, while I'm posting....I'm not sure what the deal with Mortiis is. I mean, it seems to me the guy gets hardly any respect. Maybe not alot of people have listened to his stuff, or given him a fair chance, I don't know. But, he's a phenomenal musician that I highly recommend!

Oh, and I honestly think that Type O Negative is a Gothic metal/Doom metal band. I mean, c'mon....they ARE gothy! lol.

I agree with you completely. I know many of you aren't totally into Evanescence but I love them (not the songs that get played on the radio but the ones I have on a burned cd of mine) and that won't change.

Also, even though I've only got to hear Anybody Killa at Hallowicked so far (since I can't afford to buy his stuff yet), playing ABK would be GOOOOOOOD. It just might take me a minute to realize who it is since I've only heard him the one time but I loved every second of that one time.

Oh, and even though I doubt anyone knows who they are, you can play some FILTHEE Immigrants. I love them.

Um, what is Hallowicked? If it is what I think it is, Jason may be your new best friend.

Hehe...yeah, it's the ICP concert in Detroit every year. I actually mentioned it to him the first night I met him at Temple since he was wearing the Faygo shirt.

I'm not a huge ICP person but I enjoyed the hell out of the show and had a great time overall AND found out I love ABK. :)
