Wow, so you don't think women should have all the rights of men?

Umm, yeah. I do, but i'm not a feminist. I don't protest for equal rights.

Take this for example... I think it's rather idiotic that some bitches had to whine about damned urinals being "sexist". Those were works of art, despite just being urinals... Even if some people interpret it as "men pissing on women"... I really don't give much of a shit, they looked cool...

I see it as: Men and women are equally stupid. They both have thier good and bad points. I may be a woman, but I just don't care about the whole "support your gender!!" thing... Honestly, if you really wanna know my opinion, most women are bitches anyway... I don't expect anything good to come out of the statement, but whatever... just my opinion... Call me a disgrace again, it's kind of hot (jk)... I've also tried having other perceptions of women. I don't just walk around thinking every woman I see is a "bitch". I give people their rightful chances, and I try not to assume things about anyone... but a lot of them really own up to that "bitch" title... just as some guys are "dicks"... I've just always gotten along better with guys, they're usually a lot nicer than women are. Most of them aren't jealous and spiteful towards me. Juuust my opinion, nobody should take it as an offense.

Just because you don't protest things doesn't mean you aren't a feminist. I think if you agree that women are equal and should have the right to vote, control their reproduction, etc., you are a feminist.

I have never met a woman with half a brain who didn't agree with those concepts. I hate when women say they aren't feminists....it really just makes you look dumb, and i mean that in the nicest way possible.

Feminism does not = femiNazi.

I've always thought of most feminists as angry man-haters... I know they're not ALL full-on bitches like that, but that's just the thought that comes to mind...

According to the dictionary, yeah, a feminist is someone that "advocates equal rights for women"... So I guess just about everyone is a feminist, besides male-chauvinist pigs that hate women?

Thats the stereotype they want you to believe, lol. And they want people to think all feminists are dykeish lesbians. And yeah I think the majority of intelligent people are feminists, if they don't have major issues with their mothers, lol. Any women I've met that believe the womans place is in the home, etc etc, are generally Mormons or some fundamentalist christians. I'd love to be a housewife, but I think I have the right to do everything a man has the right to do.

all this pre back and forthess...will never happen.

Let's be honest here kids, we're not dealing with a fucking rocket scientist.....this guy wanted to know how the duck who lost his way ended, before he dealt with people crashing planes into stuff.

And even if it did happen....do you HONESTLY think, that he wouldn't get snipped in....a week. A black president would have better odds. I personally think the reason someone hasn't done it already, is the fear of dick as pres.

we're the same as the romans, the myans and all the like....we will crumble eventually- i just can't see it in the next 20 years.

Hardcoregirl is absolutely correct about the feminist stuff. Too many people are biased against the term due to the associated stereotypes. We can be feminists & not be militant or antagonistic. Its all about equality.

Check out the different varieties of feminism too, like cultural, liberal, & radical.

Yeah, I think it would be really hard to call me a man-hating bitch, but I'm definitely a feminist.
The firemen came and broke through the chimney top. And me and Mom were expecting them to pull out a dead cat or a bird. And instead they pulled out my father. He was dressed in a Santa Claus suit. He'd been climbing down the chimney... his arms loaded with presents. He was gonna surprise us. He slipped and broke his neck. He died instantly. And that's how I found out there was no Santa Claus.

Shit like this though, I don't understand. Having to change/spend tons of moola on street signs so that women won't complain about them being sexist? I'm not sure how Spain's signs currently look, but most likely, they're stick figures. Which should mean, neutral sex... unless the stick figure just has a dick hanging out... And isn't the assumption that women should wear skirts, etc. sexist itself? Lol...

Whereas I agree that the idea of putting up road signs with "skirts and ponytails" is particularly ridiculous, I have to point out that the moola they're spending would have had to have been spent anyway, and they're not taking it from taxpayer money. They're just replacing signs which are old and damaged. The cost of making new stencils to add the new figures to the signs is small.

Personally, I think the idea is stupid because A: it doesn't fight sexism in any way whatsoever, and B: probably even encourages and reinforces feminine stereotypes (skirts and ponytails).

From what I know (not a whole lot) of Spanish law and culture, though... I'd be willing to bet that this initiative came from someone trying to make a point against feminists, and someone called him on it.

Re: Male Feminists:

We've got our own stereotype too. Since feminist women are all man-hating bitches; male feminists are all pink shirt wearing, cuckold, submissive, emasculated mama's boys.

Of course, there's a lot of people who say men can't be "feminist," but can be "pro-feminist," which I think is utterly absurd. I actually think the fear of men saying "I'm a feminist" is directly because of their fear of being associated with *anything* that might bring their "manhood" into question.

I suppose a t-shirt that said, "I'm a pro-feminist man who still likes beer and bar-b-q and spanking my girlfriend" would be totally inappropriate, though.
