Okay, I'll bite. I've got some time on my hands. Some of these get club play (goth club or not), and some of them don't, but chances are they'll always make me dance.
David Bowie: Velvet Goldmine, Hallo Spaceboy, Never Get Old, Rebel Rebel, No Control, White Light White Heat, Cracked Actor, I'm Deranged, China Girl (Club Bowie cd), covering Hurt, As the World Falls Down (That list goes on, but I'll stop there.)
Scumfrog Vs. Bowie: Loving the Alien
Fiction 8: Let Go
Rob Zombie: Dragula
The Last Dance: Nightmares, Terribly When, Do You Believe in Angels, Fairytale: The Storm
Hungry Lucy: For Her; Blue Dress, Telltale Shot: ThouShaltNot Remix
Prince: Thieves in the Temple, Get Off
Outkast: The Way She Moves, Ms Jackson
Wrexx in Effect: Rumpshaker (Yes, I did just say that song.)
Shakespeare's Sister: Stay
Wolfsheim: Touch, Heroin She Said
Alien Sex Fiend: Now, I'm Feeling Zombified
My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult: Sex on Wheels
Deine Lakien: Where You Are
Silke Bischoff: Under Your Skin
De/Vision: Feedom, I Regret
L'Ame Immortelle: Life Will Never Be the Same Again, Forgive Me
Sarah Brightman: Deliver Me, Here With Me
Poe: Angry Johnny, Hey Pretty
Gene Loves Jezebel: Desire
Moulin Rouge: Hindi Sad Diamonds
Dream Disciples: Room 57
Tapping the Vein: The Ledge, Bleed
Enigma: Sadness, Camera Obscura
Delerium: Silence featuring Sarah McLachlan
Sarah McLachlan: Sweet Surrender off the Remixes cd
2 Pac: California Love (featuring Dr. Dre)
Dirty Vegas: Days Go By
Evanescence: Before the Dawn
Gossamer: Sweetest Misery, Run
Duran Duran: Got to Get You Outta My Mind
Depeche Mode: Dream On, Black Celebration, Halo, In Your Room, Home, I Feel You, It's No Good, Blasphemous Rumors
The Movement: Jump
KLF: 3 AM Eternal
Falco: Rock Me Amadeus
Battery: Gangsta's Paradise, Doppleganger
Collide: Ocean, Wings of Steel, The Lunatics Have Taken over the Asylum, Haunted When the Minutes Drag (probably the original too by Love and Rockets)
Diary of Dreams: Anything off of One of 18 Angels; AmOK, (I'll let you know on the new one when it gets here)
Razor Skyline: Fade and Sustain
I'm also extremely partial to music that has a salsa latin beat to it. It totally depends on the song at that point.
New (to me) songs that have topped my list of late (i.e. I haven't had time to get tired of them, so I don't know if I will.):
Eisbrecher: Schwarze Vitve
Stromkern: The Night Riders
ThouShaltNot: Trial By Fire
Jem: 24
Bella Morte: Many Miles
Dido: White Flag
That's a start for now.
The only song that I can say I would die happy even if I couldn't hear it again: Personal Jesus (the original and anyone's cover of it)
However, it seems everytime I turn around, its packing a dancefloor. Go figure.

Here are some suggestions just for you Jay.
Elijah's Mantle - Often baroque choral type music, but like DCD, they can get all middle eastern on your ass at times.
Muslimgauze - political damnbient from the mideast - dozens of albums
Loop Guru - Great world music in general - very swayable.

dear DJ's and music requestors ::
bowie - golden years or cracked actor or ashes to ashes.
all three could get played more.
as much as people say NO MORE SKINNY PUPPY i think they say that because they think its trendy to say. i rarely hear it. tin omen or emtpE would just be fucking wonderful to hear. everynow and then you hear some good skinny puppy, usually thanks to zeo
ministry people, PLAY SONGS OF LAND OF RAPE AND HONEY, NOT P-69. that is all.
joy division didnt record a bad damned song, but for some damned reason love will tear us apart is all i hear. I HATE THAT! PLAY ISOLATION OR DEAD SOULS OR ANYTHING! CHRIST!
kmfdm should not be so damned taboo. they have alot of really dancable songs. alot. dj's go fucking find one. if you look your guaranteed to find about 20. really.
while juno reactor has some good songs, they have alot of crap. being underground is a nice way of saying "most of my career spent in mothers basement", i say that to say this: they have alot of really fucking good shit if you look. its worth the time on Kazaa people. really.
Sisters of mercy. almost every song really danceable. not just the 3 songs that always get played. ive seen people dance to 1959 for christssake. people love that band, i love that band, PICK OTHER SONGS. no time to cry maybe? ANYDAMN THING!
the song Rev 20:20 or whatyever it was off the underworld soundtrack rarely got played and was the gothiest song to come out that year. just because the guy from tool is on it doesnt mean you cant play it DJ's. really.
play shit thats not just a goth band. shake senora is a PRIME EXAMPLE. nick cave remixes got mentioned, no fucking shit man stuff like that! look at some of karla's last play list to see what i mean. jay has been up on this too. but i do reccomemend to NOT just play the odd dancables. dont alienate too many people ya know?
take a tip from X and slip some 80s punk in there that lasts like 2 minutes and everyone in the room knows every set or two just to see a good crowd reaction.
rev horton heat: big red rocket of love. really. listen. thats some danceable shit.
ok people if you just really need to play NIN, PLAY SONGS OFF THE FIRST ONE. AND NOT HEAD LIKE A HOLE. ringfinger or only time? shit man. if you even REQUEST closer you should be shot.
cure other than just like heaven. im sure you can find other songs. really.
STOP PLAYING TYPE O NEGATIVE. THEY HAVE NO GOTHY MUSIC. AT ALL. IF YOU REALLY FEEL THE NEED TO PLAY TYPE O, A MEMBER OF NIN REMIXED CIMANNON GIRL. PLAY THAT. ITS THE ONLY DANCABLE SONG OF THAT BAND, DONT GIVE IN TO TRENDY FUCKS WHO DONT KNOW TO REQUEST SHIT OTHER THAN BLACK NUMBER ONE
electric hellfire club! why do people avoid this shit?? its like a goddamned haven of really good overlooked shit. really.
genitortures (spelling?) have alot of shit that should/should/would be played. i really really really reccommend guns are good. i could see ivanna kicking someone in the chest and quoting the "do you like my boots? wanna lick em clean" line.... its worth playing to coax her into doing that.
OUTKAST! OUTKAST! WE LIKE OUTKAST! AND THE ROCK REMIX OF BOMBS OVER BAGHDAD IS ONE OF THE MOST DANCABLE GODDAMNED SONGS ON THE FUCKING FACE OF THE EARTH! AND IF YOU WANT A COPY ILL GIVE YOU ONE! HINT! HINT! HINT!
i could do this all day
all the dj's on the whole do a good job, some do a great job. and lately the dj's have been evading the typical play list. which is good. but dont leave the goth completely out yet... hehe. dont overkill it either. everyone just find your ultimate happy medium that keeps everyone dancing or bobbing their head or enjoying themselves. so far your all doing a good job, just trying to help with that sweeet perfect playlist.hope this helps.
much hate to you all, fuck you beautifully, miss you all dearly,
JC
p.s. if you play the beautiful people, i will kill you.

Amen to that! Also, I agree with JC. I love Electric Hellfire Club, you can dance to them, why not play them?
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - awesome band.

I like Type O Negative. I don't think you speak for everyone. Listen to the words in their music and check out their albums. They are Goth Metal band. I think that OutKast is Trendy. But I don't care if they play it an Sanctus. I just won't dance to it. I think people should just have fun and have a chance to listen to their requests.
